You can't make this stuff up!

Many who read the forum know that I have had 3 Royalless streaks of over 600k hands in less than 3 years. Sounds impossible yet it happened and it cost me a bundle. On the flip side, these are the results of my play last evening at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun and the Mrs. play for her last 3 sessions. Note...she usually only goes with me on Fridays and I go about 3 times or more a week.
Started Friday night with a low budget night determined not to hit the ATM again and just stick to nickels and play for fun even though I knew the paytable was in the 96 percent range. We checked in at Mohegan and after dinner, I took off for a few hours of play at Foxwoods. I did stick to nickels on deuces wild and in a couple of hours hit 2 Royals on the same machine. I left Foxwoods up nearly 400 bucks.
On the short ride back to Mohegan Sun, I got a call from the Mrs. that she had just hit a Royal on nickel ultimate x DDB. That makes 3 sessions in a row she has hit Royals and her total play for all 3 was only about 6 hours. When I got back, we had a nice coffee and dessert break. The Mrs. had a long day and turned in. I decided to play with 100 bucks of the 400 I had won and switch to quarter Airport Deuces. I just played one machine and it was pretty good overnight. It kept hitting 5 of a kinds, straight flushes, and a few wild royals. Every so often, I would take a pot shot and bet more than 5 quarters. It was about sunrise, I had a 3 buck pot shot bet and held 3 to the Royal in Hearts. I drew the other two and it resulted in a 2400 buck hand pay. I finally hit the hay myself. After a very late breakfast, we played another hour and both of us just left a very few bucks for the casino. Headed home with a nice easy drive on I 95 which is rare these days by mid afternoon. The bottom line is I hit 3 Royals in about 8 hours of play and the Mrs. hit 3 Royals in about 6 hours of play total. The Mrs stuck to DDB as usual and I stuck to regular deuces wild, leaving bonus deuces for another day.

PS.....I sent a pic of the big Royal to Fla Phil. My smart phone should be coming in a week or two and in the future if there is anything worth posting with a pic, I will do so. I didn't want to bother Phil to post it here, but I do still have it on my old non smart phone.

Thanks Otabill and Wildman. Let's hope for all of our sake the lifetime of vp is a long time. The Royals will hopefully fall into place and if not, I will take that long healthy lifetime any day. One day, no matter what is said about A/C I will get back down there. I used to like Harra's Marina years ago. When they had the ship mall, I paid the ten bucks to open an Oyster and there was a black pearl inside. Next time there is a meet and greet, somebody let me know and I will see what I can do. For now its complicated as dad is 94 and I need to be there with minimal time lapses in between. My siblings don't live close by, but hopefully, I can work something out. We have awesome old school Italian neighbors on both sides of dad's house. One thing is for sure. he will never go hungry if anyone knows what I mean by old school. When you walk in the house, you can never get past the kitchen and there is a jug of table wine out all of the time.

Congrats to you and your wife olds, on breaking that royal-less streak in a major fashion. Remember: royals never go out of style.

Olds, I grew up in Delaware as a child. My father was the son of an Italian immigrant that came to this country around 1910. I still remember the smell of those Italian markets. They made the best sub sandwiches I have ever had then or since. When you walked out, your clothes smelled that way all day. I also remember all the wine bottles hanging from the ceiling. People these days have no idea what real food is. They throw a frozen pizza in the oven and might as well eat the box. Thanks for great memories of the best food in the world.

Olds, I can no longer post photos on this forum. I keep getting this message. Maybe Webman can help us out.

3 buck pot shot bet and held 3 to the Royal Hearts. I drew the other two and a $2400 hand pay.

Congratulations. Remarkably enough, I had the same day! I held 3 to the Royal Hearts. I drew the other two. Unfortunately, I had only bet a buck. Not being at MS, my payout was a mere $250. I must forfeit 94% of my hand's potential winnings. I really must explore a MS trip some way, somehow before a trip to the asylum becomes my destiny. Major coastal disturbances. Too numb for pain. :x
