Re: The Path
Successful Saturday. I won $4 on Tropicana JOB FP. Harrah’s shuttle. I hit two quads within twenty two minutes. The first was $50. I moved to pursue the max quad on BP. Just a $125 vanilla quad. Italian bakery lunch. Back to Tropicana for afternoon comp. Yanked due to last week’s no play. I complained at card center. They kindly restored it, but warned me to keep up my rating. Sure, just lose big weekly. I earned token twelve points and left +$45. Deal with it. Net Day: +$87.

Don’t let me near an Italian bakery. Especially if they have Angel wings.

Strange sensation to get actual fresh air among people instead of chained to the casino. What a concept.

These are what you cannot let me near. I would eat them all.

Successful Saturday. I won $6 on Tropicana JOB FP. At Harrah’s, I hit max four Aces deuce kicker almost upon arrival. Unfortunately, I was still playing JOB. At Bally’s, I decided to play sliding ten coin JOB to hit a $250 quad. Fifty minutes and $272 later, I did just that. My reckless play cost me $22 and was almost a disaster. Machine has 1 equals $50 sticker, so I only earned 47 TCs. I jumped for joy, drawing a crowd. Net Day: +$95.

WTG. I temp disaster way too often I should stick to playing what will keep me even if I hit quad deuces. If I forget about the Royal and bet one quarter at a time, I wouldn’t even have to bet 2 quarters until I had lost 200 of them betting just one. I have tried many times to do this and get too antsy and up the bet too early often shortly after going into panic mode trying bet 5 then 10 for awhile then 15 then 20 and finally max bet 25. More often than not, it is the bet 25 that busts the bankroll as nothing big hits

Discipline, always discipline, Olds. Been there right with you many times.
When i played 21 for 10 years on junkets i had a travel buddy who watched my back and i watched his.
We actually physically pulled each other from the table(if necessary) when the deck turned.
He is gone, sometimes i do alright, sometimes not. I miss him.

I began with a discipline mindset, but feared a wasted early quad. Before I knew it, two thirds of my money was gone. The confused dopey lady two seats away made a huge fuss about drink ordering, making me even more upset. I desperately wanted to hit and run. I ended up crawling away even. After my hit, Knocker came over, highly confused as she’d likely never bet above nickels in her life. So what’d you win?! I said 250. Then she peered in: “Oh, dollars!” I made such an embarrassing scene of it, out of sheer relief. Another woman even related her last minute escape. I had my earplugs in the whole time, but politely humored her.
