"Pick a Pair" poker
Has anyone had any consistent good luck with this game? Everytime I go to the casino up in PA I end up playing this game I guess because i am lured in by the higher payouts for the winning hands but I always lose my butt playing it. I know the payouts are higher but then again you can only start with 3 cards and thus can never get dealt something or even dealt 4 cards towards something. And since you HAVE to pick a 3rd card to start you are one card down towards a potential win most times. Should i stay away from this game and it`s lure of those higher payouts?

The game has a lower variance than most VP games. You do have to hit one of the better hands to win on any given day. However, in general your losses will be less than other high variance games.
What is the paytable?

I have played this game for several years with good results, ie quadsbut only on the older Game Maker slot. I've tried the new machines withvery little luck. Its hard to find the older machines. the big casinos don't use them, so I stay in the smaller casinos in Reno, carson city.
