Oh also, about 300 hours + for a royal, and still counting!

I attempted to get a count at the casino this past weekend.  I earned 5,000 base points.  $10 dollars in equals one base point on video poker.  I was playing dollars so I had 10,000 plays without a royal.  I am due!  Sooner or later it will pop up again.

10,000 hands without a royal could hardly be termed a cold streak!

Your right onemoretry that 10,000 hands is not a cold streak by itself but three years of no royals playing 10,000 hands four times a month is!  I figure that comes out to be in the neighborhood of 40,000 times 36 months.

Here is what you do, play .01 x 100 play to get the monkey off your back. Then you will be back on track.

Either that or you will be one of those that hits a Royal while waiting to get paid on a Royal

That works out to 1.44 million hands without a royal. Either you're the unluckiest person alive, or your estimate of the number of hands is inflated. The probability of playing that many consecutive hands without a royal is so low that my calculator can't handle it.

The probability of going 750,000 consecutive hands without a royal is about 0.000001%.

I knew I was on a cold streak!  Now I find out I am the most unlucky person alive--now that is a bad cold streak!

Today went to play. I earned 1,000 base points. Now I played quarters today so had five hands to earn a base point. So had 5,000 hands played and never came close to a royal. I did get four of a kind playing double double bonus three times. It cost me $100 to play today.

It takes $6.25 to earn a base point? Seems like a strange amount. Where I play it takes $5. For most casinos in Vegas it takes $1.
