Re: Las Vegas
But they do have dollar 9/6 DDB and 98.91% Deuces at 50c at a bar that has 90 beers on tap, so I have to give them credit for that.
They also have a 25c triple play progressive with 98.91% deuces on it. That's what we play the most when we're there (about once per year).

I totally agree with most Boyd property choices. Main St., California, New Orleans, Gold Coast and also Palms.

Golden Nugget, or does downtown not count?of course it counts...why would it not? In many peoples' opinions, Downtown is the best, or at the very least, in a class all its own.And like I said, I'd match Golden Nugget up with most Strip places anyday, and in many ways it is superior in that it is NOT so overwhelmingly HUGE like many of the strip places are.

Golden Nugget has been around for a long time ... survived the era of tear down and the rise of the multi-billion dollar casinos. Something has to be good about it, I've never been there before.
I know VPFree2 is not always updated, but other than high denom $5 9/6 Jacks or Better and 8/5 Bonus, anything else good about it? (not trying to stir an argument)

Their quarter deuces wild progressive gets in 100%+ states at times. Problem is that it's 6-way progressive (quads or better) and you have to know how to estimate how much extra the progressives give. Also all the payouts round UP to the nearest quarter, so quads almost always pay $5.25 (or more) and not $5.
I added this to VPFree2.com awhile back, but sadly I forgot to play the game on my Sept. trip!!!
Example of game from a great blog with Trip Reports that are VP-centric.
http://www.royalflushervegas.com/
In this picture the wild royal and five of a kind are way higher than their base values ($25 and $12.50, respectively). Playing the machine optimally in this state is 102.7%.
Speaking of the Golden Nugget generally though, I'm not a huge fan. It is one of the nicest looking casinos downtown, but when I visited it, I felt like the place was overly jammed with slots.

Wow, I never seen as many progressives before. Must be sweet to always get a few extra cents for hitting the very common 4OAK. IF the progressives reach those levels typically, its definitely better than NSUD at max bet. But it looks like it is not so good with FloridaPhil's strategy with that kind of paytable on single coin.
VPFree does not list the true percentages of bonus games like STP and Dreamcard. Did not know 9/6 DDB quick quads was 99.65% ER until a few days ago, so probably most of these games at Golden Nugget perhaps have a big boost to their tables.
To respond to your earlier concern about the M Resort converting into Marquee rewards, I think they were able to keep those kinds of benefits and then they were able add much more on top of it. Their cashback rate is still high, and there are more tiers (I do not visit frequently to reach). I think the ICON tier (not available prior to Marquee) will rival with CET's 7star in terms of annual cruises and luxury gifts, then again I will not reach that tier anytime soon.

Wow...thank God I beat those odds in the ER (99.65) It is possible to survive with a .35 percent bet.
Quick-Quads is what I have...4 heart chambers that can't figure out a good 'draw'...go figure..lol.
Oh...btw...double-down on the SVT ablation if you ever get the opportunity. Got a local electrician here that does really good work.

Unfortunately I don't know how common the game gets above 100%, but this is the second picture I have seen of the game above 100%. And yeah, max bet or nothing on that game for sure. Shortcoining is below 95%.
And most bonus bets do add return, but the problem is many casinos don't offer "full pay" paytables for these kinds of games. And none of them are listed at Golden Nugget. STP generally adds 0.28%, Double STP adds about 0.5%. Dreamcard/Quick Quads varies on the game variant.
9/6 DDB w/QQ has a BIG boost because they jacked up the 5-K quad payout from 250 to 260, otherwise the bonus bet would have lowered the game's payback from 98.98% to 98.85%. But if you play 9/5 DDB with QQ, the quad payout will only be 250 for 5-K and have a 97.95% payback vs. 97.87%.

The 5-K quad boost to 260 is very interesting (learning lot of new things all the time here), thought it was strange but it makes sense that betting the 6th credit got to mean something. Also 9/6 JoB got a boost relative to the quads.
I quickly checked today at the nearby casino, the 9/5 DDB and 8/6 JoB are available at single line Dreamcard/STP/Double STP/QuickQuads. It is not full pay, Dancer is fortunate to have one nearby.
