Re: Why not the ace?
New, I share your outlook on the cost of an annual gold membership. The 5 bucks a month is a bargain compared to the amount of time I spend playing games on this site that I normally would not play in a casino. Add to this the chance that I have to get to know some of you through this site and share some: laughs, grief, jokes, stories, etc. makes it all the better. Had I not found this site 3 1/2 years ago I would have NEVER found out who not to believe when it comes to vp, hello Ladee-da, much less been exposed to some of his torchbearers. Luckily on the flip side of that coin I have met you, Ed da Cat, cd, Shadowman, and others who have been able to decode through math and logic how to better play vp.
Getting to know: Eduardo, Faygo and Tangueray, Boops and marie, poker princess, and most recently: farmer and lucky larry has added an unmeasureable amount of pleasure to my usually caotic life.
In closing I will say that this site has given me balance and an outlet that cannot be measured in the cost of the membership alone and for that I am grateful.

Mr Ted, thanks for including me with your props. Thats some elite company for this cat. I have rs to thank for my VP knowledge. Reading some the crap he writes and the nonsense he babbles about made me be a more proficient player by learning optimum play strategy and asking alot of questions. Some of those you mentioned helped me gain a better advantage over the house edge on VP.

Ok gotcha. The only thing that I was thinking was that with a hand such as said earlier, I would just have been happy with jacks or better to push the hand. The straight thing makes sense. Anyhow, Im usually agressive with the aces. I also toss the A,A,A,5,5 Fullhouse on DB $.25. If I was playing 1$ then I would keep the house. Thats mostly due to bankroll. I play DB mainly but played regular Bonus poker the other day at Blue Chip and I think I like that game too. I ran that mach for 3 hours on $20.
In DB the trip aces and the FH are almost identical. Check it out at vpgenius. If you really enjoy holding the aces then you should do it. VP is primarily about having fun.

I MUST ADD MY .02 I REALLY ENJOY READING EVERYONES POST. I MAY NOT ALWAYS AGREE BUT THAT IS INMATERIAL. ONE (OF MANY THINGS) THIS SIGHT, AND MANY OF YOU CONVINCED ME WAS TO HOLD 2 PAIR AND GO FOR THE FH AS OPPSED TO HOLDING A PAIR AND GOING FOR QUADS UNLESS OF COURSE THEY ARE ACES. THIS IS JUST ONE OF MANY THINGS I KNOW HAVE MADE ME A BETTER PLAYER.
