Re: DDB+ and Aces Deuces
SpxChrome,Do you mean the Imperial Palace or the Isle of Capri? I've been to both and had better luck at the Isle of Capri.I haven't been to the Grand but I'll try it out next week when I'm in Biloxi. It's too bad the taxes are so high in Mississippi. Your almost better off hitting the royal on quarters.Good luck.

new2VP,
I'm guessing that the pay tables may be the same at Lake Charles and Biloxi since a tech told me they used a corporate directive.
The 25¢ machines, which were all reprogrammed in December, are as follows: ( % ) based on vpgenius or free slots I don't remember what I used to upgrade vpfree2.
SDDB 6-5-4-3-1-1 (97.69%)
DDB+ 8-5-4-3-1-1 (97.25%)
TB+ 7-5-4-3-1-1 (97/67%)
TDB 9-5-4-2-1-1 (97.02%)
IOC-LC usually has the same odds for 25¢ and 50¢. The machines at IOC-Lake Charles don't have $ with the same games.
However; L'Auberge du Lac (Pinnacle) in Lake Charles has many of these games and does have $ SDDB @ 8-5-4-3-1-1 (99.68%). Basically, all of the $1/$2/$5 games at LDL are 99% range return. A great return for the area. They even have $45/90 Spin Poker with decent odds.

Welcome to the forum.
You are right, we have always had our best luck at Imperial Palace and IOC-Biloxi. Never hit a big ticket at anywhere else. But, we haven't been in over a year to Biloxi.
Can't wait to get to Red Rock and the Palms in a couple of weeks to see some great pay tables. Have never had a losing year at RR and it will be our first time to stay at the Palms and play on their money.

I made it to the Isle not the IP.
I'll be in Vegas in August and I can not wait to visit the RR. I hear some many winning stories from there. This week I will be at the Silver Star/ Golden Moon. They have two banks for progressive. DDB one is 9/7 the other 9/6. But the progessive is pretty loose. Sadly though thats about all they have for VP. None of the new games, they used to have a bank of the old style Triple Devils which was always fun to play but they ditched em for some reason.

State is only 3%? I think its 5% in LA. Not sure about the others?

SpxChrome and Lucky Larry,Thanks for the info about Biloxi. For some reason I have a free, chartered plane trip to Beau Rivage starting Sunday. Last October I was in Vegas and maybe I spent more than I thought! Anyway, I'll play vp at Isle of Capri, IP and the Grand. My sister plays Stinkin' Riches - a multiline slot. I'll try that at Beau Rivage if they have it.My next time in Vegas (maybe October) I'll try RR. I didn't have any luck at the Palms last year. SpxChrome, I've never been to RR but everyone on this site seems to rave about it so have a winning, fun time.As for the taxes, I was wrong - they are less in Mississippi than they are in LA. I was wrong. I'll try some 50 cent and dollar vp if I hit first on DW quarters.Remember - all women love opals.

opalineopaline,
Sounds like the same trip our daughter/SIL are going on the first week in May. Free flight and stay at Beau Rivage. She played low denomination slots and VP at MGM last year in Vegas but she will play for 8-10 hours on a machine if it is playing. Amazing the comps she gets for sitting on a penny or nickel machine all day (all night usually).
You definitely have to try Red Rock. Our favorite hotel, wonderful rooms, great staff, and a great casino with 100% return VP to boot. We recommend pool and canyon view when you go.
Check out the pool (link)

La. taxes have gotten outrageous. 6% take but we used to get it all back as non-residents but the past few years we have gotten less than half back. Don't know this year yet as we are filing this week. Probably won't be a problem for 2010. You have to get G-statements to pay the taxes!
Best of luck in Biloxi. Give us a report when you get back.

I'm assuming that the flights/stay at Beau Rivage was based on it being MGM's closest casino to the kid's zip code. The MGM probably figures they have played several times in Vegas and Biloxi. Cheaper to send them Biloxi than Vegas and it probably increases their chances of going there more often. "Keeping it all in the MGM family."
Just like Harrah's we play at Laughlin and Vegas but get New Orleans Harrah's (closest to us) offers all the time even though we rarely go to NO.
