Re: Spin Fever Poker now available for all
Alright, corrections have been made so the game won't lock up on those ridiculously absurd win amounts that I will never see myself, and if you have any spins remaining in a challenge, they will spin automatically at the conclusion of the challenge.

i would not play this game with real money unless the pay schedules improve. My pattern seemed to be lose 4000, get back 1000 on wheel, lose 4000, get 1000 back on wheel, etc. Like the Titanic, its going one way - down deep !

This game is absolutely BRUTAL! Just when I think IGT couldn't come up with a worse poker variation, they surprise me yet again. I "love" the fact that out of literally hundreds of chances, the wheel has never landed on the 1000... much less the 4000. It's a total money pit. Too bad.

Hey xf,I agree that it is a fairly rare occurrence on Spin Fever to hit 1000 or 4000...but it seems your experience has been considerably worse than mine. It is actually also tough to get the wheel to stop on the 300-50-800 position (for flush-full house-quads+), with my current estimate of that happening being something over 500 to 1. I don't know why IGT doesn't just publish the probabilities of the wheel stops since they tell you the average value for each pointer. With the published numbers for expected values, it should be no surprise that the high values are hit considerably less often than the lower numbers.I have actually had one of the 3 pointers land on 4000 slightly more often than it landed on 1000; about 1.2% of the time in all for one of the pointers to stop on either 1000 or 4000. (Of course, I have not scored big points on all of these because sometimes I didn't have the proper final hand; e.g., it might have landed as 4000 flush when I was spinning because I just hit quads!)The wheel has stopped with one of the pointers on 1000 about one time in 176; on 4000 about one time in 154. My current estimate presuming that the expected values given on the help screen are correct is that the probability of hitting 4000 is a little less than what I have experienced (estimated odds: 160 to 1) and that the probability of hitting 1000 is a little more (estimated odds: 165 to 1). But I will say that these numbers are necessarily only rough estimates; I wouldn't assign much precision to these estimates unless I could observe a sample size maybe 100 times bigger...and even I don't have that much time on my hands.I agree this game could get you in trouble if you were not disciplined. You can increase the variance on this game (as we can see in the current contest) by waiting longer and longer before making a spin. This is akin to moving up in denomination after losses until getting that one big hit...but sadly it may not come quickly enough to erase your losses. Also, to take full advantage of the wheel, you have to drastically alter your strategy in favor of flushes, often holding a 3-card flush draw in preference to a pair. And of course, since none of the games are over 100% return games (including the wheel spins), we know that there have to be lots of losses to balance out those huge gains that we see at the top of the leader board on a daily basis and in the current monthly contest.

What I am VERY curious about (and would have to know before ever considering playing it in a casino) is if the wheel spin "cares" about what your multipliers are. I would like to know if the 1000 and 4000 come up more often if you spin every time you get a 1x multiplier and if they come up a lot less if you fill up the arrows with higher multiplier amounts. Also, I don't want to go too off topic but I have often wondered the same thing about games such as Super Times Pay and Good Times Pay. It seems like lower multipliers come out when I get better hands and higher multipliers come out when I get dealt garbage. Is that just "random" or is it built into the program? I am unaware of IGT releasing any specific data regarding their specialty games.

I believe the extra 3 coins to play this wheel do not come close to justifying the chance of the wheel hitting anything big. The randomness of this game is exactly why i never put a nickel in a regular slot machine. this reminds me too much of the Wheel of Fortune!!!
