Re: dream card poker
As DaBurglar has so jealously pointed out, I've had some luck with Dreamcard in casinos.

I used to play the triple play DC now and then, not for a whole session, but rather my last $100 on a bad night or $100 on a winning night.
Surely an entertaining game, but the swings are just too large. Sure, big winners pop up frequently. But when the dream card disappears for a while, or only shows up to pair up a face card the money goes too quick. Even those 750 and 800 credit hits could be gone in minutes. Anymore, I just stick to the good old single hand Game King.
The best I ever did was a $1200 hit playing.50 and a $1000 quarter royal.

I've hit 3 line dream card jackpots many times in Vegas (Bellagio has 1 machine in particular that I've done well on), but I find like any of the more exotic/multi-line games, when it's cold, it goes soooo fast.this is really the main point.......playing 10 line or even 5 line DC is just suicidal over the long run......as TED shows, you CAN have some huge hits (and he minimizes his risk by playing the lowest denom possible....and if he really did quit when those big hits showed up, so much the better) But I am certain he is not telling us of all the times his money disappeared in a flash......because he is "LOCAL" certainly means he has LOTS of chances to both win (sometimes) and lose (most times)....just like the rest of us.I concede that the single line version of DC and MAYBE the 3 line version if you are up, are the only viable options for a sensible, casual player to have some fun with without wrecking their bankroll.

Yeah, I really minimize the risk: 100 nickels = $5.00 a deal and 100 dimes = $10.00 a deal. DaBurglar you are CERTAIN(?) that I am not telling all of the times my money disappeared in a flash? Really? Your jealousy is showing again. I read an article about you today, it was about Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) and it described you perfectly.

But Ted, a little while ago you insisted you are just a CASUAL player....so now you are saying that you are a HIGH ROLLER???? You just keep tripping over yourself with this fantasy Video Poker life you lead.....hahaha

In past posts I have mentioned that I use a loss limit when playing the higher denomination ($2.00 and up) games. This loss limit is $500.00. Risk and loss limits are two completely different animals.
