Re: You're Screwing Up the Machines!
I had been looking for a good "time killer" myself and finally fell on DDB single quarter play. The game is so bad anyway that I would never play it for real money and quads are so much fun to see. It's amazing how long you can play DDB with single coin quarters, quads all over the place. Try it at the casino next time and see for yourself.
When screwing around betting peanuts, it is suddenly Christmas.
This is so true. If anything would get me to believe the machines are not random, this would be it. It seems I can play single coin quarter DDB all day and never lose any money. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the fact that I never bust because I don't care what happens. Any doubters out there need to try it and see for themselves. Weird.....

I am certain that the good day you just had with DDB will not happen every time to a point where you can say never lose any money.
It is possible to go 2 hours with the quad (assuming 1000 rounds) and losses of over 1000 credits on 9/6 DDB, its happened to me twice. To translate that into your play, it will be $50 even playing single coin quarters.

I quit playing Black Jack 20 years ago because I got tired of other players saying I took " their " card. What a joke.
Gamblers can sure be superstitious little cusses. There are some things I just don't do in games like blackjack and craps that I play only occasionally, and only with comps, like sitting down at third base or betting "wrong" (Don't Pass). As you have experienced, it's just not worth it.
Of course you are right. When you play DDB all day and walk away down only $50, that seems like a win to me. The last time we were in Cherokee I played DDB single coin quarters for two days and lost $150. I only do this if the odds don't suit me or I'm killing time just goofing around. There are times in video poker where I find it advantageous to back off for a while. I realize I am a recreational player with the odds stacked against me. I don't have math to bolster my confidence, so I need to use my head once in a while.
