Re: Gambler's Lock Box
I'm still waiting for the lockable wallet to arrive. Can't wait to try it out. I'll publish my thoughts and results on this website so others can see if it's a worthwhile tool.

Chicagoan, I can feel myself converting to JUL. Today I won $137 after trip cost at two adjacent AC casinos, $112 on VP and $25 craps. It would have been $138, but I hedged my dice play with a buck Any Craps bet. I usually leave a machine after a quad. But the machine was en fuego today. I actually got a second quad on it about fifty minutes after my first for an extra $37 profit in that time. All told it yielded $118 from $25 FP. Five TC, so a paltry $250 coin in. At Caesars the JOB Progressive was at $1,182, almost 100% payout level. I could have grinded and lost my shirt. But those days are gone. I was content to turn $20 into $53 with my third quad of the day before I even earned a useless Tier Credit. This follows Phil's cash out at $50 technique; proud disciple. I found an unopened bag of almonds on the way out, further confirmation of my good fortune on Good Friday. It was clearly time to leave town. I miss the restaurants. But staying was too risky. Maybe I should have packed the lock box! I will settle for an evening of TV. Break out the Grey Poupon!

Leaving with a win is such a good feeling. Even if you have only been at the casino for 15 minutes.
No way I'm ever doing this. Nearest casino is 30 minutes away. I am staying for at least that long. Gas costs money too...

The lock box came in the mail last night and I'm heading to the Tampa Hard Rock this morning for the first test. The box is a little bigger than I imagined, but it will fit in my jacket pocket. This thing is tough. No way you are going to break into it without a sludge hammer. My plan is to cash out everything over $50 and leave when my money is gone or in the box. I'm starting with 1,000 coins. Here we go....

No way a thousand coins are fitting in that box! Had I known that yours arrived and you are having a maiden voyage, I would have broken mine in today as well. This thing is clunky and not exactly smooth to the touch. You get what you pay for.

Unless I hit a RF, I will play a one hour minimum. It takes at least that long to hit two quads, which usually justifies the two hour trip for me.

Here's my first report on the gambler's lock box.The box itself is about 4.5 inches long, 2.5 inches wide and about 1" thick. It's made of metal, pretty robust and heavy. It will fit in your pocket, but I carried mine in the pocket of my jacket. It has a small slot in the top where you can insert your bills and a trap door that opens with a key. It does have a design flaw in that it's hard to put more than 4-5 bills in it because the previously inserted bills get in the way preventing you from inserting more. I am working on this problem and will be posting some solutions once I work them out.I walked into the casino this morning at 8:30 AM with five $100 bills. I played max coin (5) 98.9% single line deuces wild all morning. Most of my play was at 50 cents per coin. I cashed out every time the counter reached $50 or more. I converted my white tickets to $100s and inserted each bill into the box. I changed machines a lot and walked around the casino playing at random. I stopped playing around 11:30 AM when all my money was gone or in the box. I never got a quad deuce or a royal and as I remember only got one wild royal, which was a pretty bad day for me. When I got home, I had four $100 bills in the box. This means my cost of play was about $33 an hour which is very low considering I never hit a decent jackpot. So far I would say the gambler's lock box is a helpful tool for a recreational gambler. It definitely helps with money management as it gives you a well defined definition of when to leave and guarantees you will leave with some money. If I had hit only one quad deuce I would have easily made a profit. I am encouraged and will be posting my results for a while so everyone can see my results. So far, so good....

I began play at 11:30 AM. $26 from $25 Bally's FP. Safe to proceed. It got to about $34. Then I got KAJ plus a fourth heart. I was in it for the full $1.25. Drew two cards. QT of hearts filled the fourth and fifth place holders. $1000 Royal Flush! I took a handful of photos. Then off to the cage for a $1,033 check. Teller deferred to a pants suit, who did the honors. She confirmed that I had a players card after I signed for it. They must be instructed to promote player cards in such cases. I had yet to play $25 table FP. Lost craps with eight and seven out. I was now ironically cash poor. Next door the JOB Progressive was $1,218. I gave it a shot with my $20 which lasted all of ten minutes. Should have locked that up. But that is just petty cash today. Happy Easter!

Thank you all. I am usually hopping mad upon departure. Very pleasant ride home secure in the knowledge that a crisp check was stored next to my player cards in the bag. The joy of max!
