Just Phil be Phil. Clueless and often mistaken, but never in doubt.

You know, it could very easily be asked of you what I routinely ask a certain poster on this forum regarding myself when he incessantly trolls and posts hostile, meanspirited comments toward me (no matter what the topic or initial post may have involved), which serve no useful purpose since his personal sentiments about me are well known by now....
what exactly is it about phil that perturbs you to the point where you need to post messages like the one above? I guarantee you, we got it already, just how much you dislike and despise what Phil thinks and believes, if not the actual person himself.

My guess is he wants to make sure someone isn't convinced that what Phil is suggesting is a "better" way to play VP. Given the way the forum membership currently is, I agree that everyone is well-informed on Phil's ideas and what bill thinks about them. And the same goes for you and the person that likes to critique your statements nearly...every...single...time. I'm glad you've backed off on fighting him when it's not important. It's easier on the eyes.

Excellent post in terms of how you are clearly able to discern what the motive might be in the "AntiPha" movement (borrowing on the current political climate with its antifa movement, only our equivalent is the anti FloridaPhil groundswell called AntiaPha)
As you adroitly point out, there are few people here who truly do not see for themselves what single coin strategy means...I personally would never do it, but I have no problem with Phil arguing and explaining his philosophy in his posts, since he is entitled to his opinion. I've watched his exchanges with dancer and others go the way of similar exchanges once the exchanges get personal and take on a life of their own. V.
I've never gotten the impression that Phil has ever argued that single coin is a "better" strategy, but rather just a different alternative for a highly specific type of player. Maybe I'm wrong and I missed where Phil says his way is superior, and if he did say that I would emphatically disagree, but not to the point of hostility.
As for my own tribulations vis-a-vis a known poster, I have indeed toned it down but only by virtue of being here less frequent.... I maintain I'm never the instigator of the hostility but I acknowledge my culpability in perpetuating the pointless wasteage of people's time, and with the alleged name calling (but in all honesty, the actual names people claim to be offended by are absurdly innocuous and even funny, but there is a decided lack in Constitution and a decided abundance of sensitivity and sense of self injury.

I was hooked from day 1 so I'd say sky's the limit. Keep those near misses coming

Bill's comments come because I dare to question someone who he idolizes.I have always said from day one on this forum that the world of professional VP is vastly different than recreational VP. Recreational VP players can benefit from 90% of Bob Dancer's methodologies. The rest is either unobtainable or just not practical to someone with limited resources and opportunities. I have nothing personal against anyone on this forum. It's their tactics I don't like. Whenever anyone questions them, they don't answer. The questioner is either bullied off the forum or told they are unintelligent, undisciplined or just run out of the "class". I rebelled against these tactics and instantly became the enemy. Our current arrangement of two separate forums works. It would work better if Bill Ryan honored it instead of making childish comments after every post I make. It doesn't bother me, but it also doesn't add anything to the discussion. I guess he thinks it's OK for me not to be able to respond on the Strategy Forum when he can snipe at me all day here. I suppose he learned that in VP class.

You've never said that single coin was a better strategy?
I don't suppose you'd care to back that lie up with a loser leaves the forum forever wager? Would you?
Simple rules. I will directly quote your posts claiming it is better. If I post three such posts you made, you quit and never post again. If I don't find them, I will do the same.
Do we have have a bet?

[/quote]What I said was it extends play and saves money when playing seriously negative VP games. Go for it....

So three posts where you state CS is better than full coin Vp and you are history?
Yes or no?
