CP arrived and I took my voucher to various slot machines: The Wizard of Oz, the Simpson's and others, loosing a little. We came across an 88 Fortunes with a full bowl. Blew $150 on it and the bowl never did close. Back to the .50, and despite dealt quad kings, the voucher soon was gone.

Not quite wanting to go to bed, I decided on a penny Quick Hit slot. A few spins in, I got the 6 QH for $80, then the 5 QH for $18. After an hour and many free games and bonuses, my $100 grew to $450.

I gave the Bonus Streak and regular ULTX another try - both ate $100 quickly.

All in all, day #1 was down about $600.

So basically, typical casino day. Sounds like a Break Even trip brewing. Great drama for  armchair observers.

Here's what I like about Treasure Island.
FREE PARKING!!! and NO RESORT FEES, unless you want them. Unlike almost all the properties on the strip.
MYSTERE IS STILL THE BEST SHOW IN TOWN.
THE PROGRESSIVE $1'S AT THE BAR WAS $7,042. And Change :)   8/5DDB
Plenty of 9/6 $1'S, but you have to check the pay tables.
If you use your card along with your spouse, link your card but only play on one card and the comps come easy.

What I'm not thrilled with.

Them charging folks $40 for breakfast in the coffee shop.
Ours is comped, but still it's outrageous. 2 eggs, burnt hash browns and cold toast & water. Plus eggs benedict ordered medium coming out runny, and burnt hash browns, and a glass of tea. PLUS TIP for poor service too boot.

The Tram as of today is under repair and not working.
The Krispy Kreme's are trucked in.
A small bottle of water is $3.
The bath soap feels similar to Lava.

Other than that, I like it.

Black cloud today so far.

After cleaning out my pockets from last night I found a hundred dollar bill. So, last night was not quite as bad.

After a mediocre breakfast at Denny's, CP and I moseyed over to the Mirage to check on dad. I spied the sports bar progressive at $4980 (10 quarters) and gave it a whirl. No quads and minus $200. Next up was QQ Wheel. First spin was QQ10s and a 200 quarter spin - +$125.

Continuing on to Bellagio and played $100 on Dream Card nickels. It lasted a while, but busted. I caught a few quads, but not enough.

Finally, on to the Aria for DSTP BDLX. Playing some single hand and two handed, things went poorly. Only managed 2 quads, neither multiplied, down $500-$600 in a few hours. With todays stake running low I hit the ATM for some $1 play. Not much better. $400 in, $200 out - one quad five.

Wrong game

Throwing in the towel on Aria VP, I played some slots +$100 on Walking Dead, -$100 on quick hits. While betting .90 on China Shores I won 240 free games. I was hoping for a few hundred bucks, nope $90! WTH?

Walked back to Mirage to meet dad for the dinner buffet. Everything I took was quite good and beer or wine is included. One downer is they don't have Alaskan crab legs anymore. Now the crab is stone (?) crab.

After dinner, I decided on the sports bar to try the progressive. It was $5300 now. $200, again quadless.

Over to the Wheel QQ, and things were awfully again. Hundo after hundos with no quads then finally:

Premium quad with big wheel spin! Quads and spins started coming and I got to play for a while without feeding it. I broke about even.

Back to Ti for another try at the .50 9/6 DDB, quadless again.

Brutal seeing that AWAK on "Boner Deluxe". I know it's technically the best game on it, but damn.

And wow at that mirage progressive. Highest I've seen is about 3800, usually more like 2600. Hope you hit something big at TI!

Thanks Vman.

After dinner CP and I walked to the Cromwell. I was interested in the 9/7 TDB. It was a quirky session. My first $100 went without a quad. Then they started coming, but all standard 250s, no premiums. It took 9 quads, (3 dealt!?) before I finally hit quad 4s no kicker. The Archer IPA, 7% alcohol, were flowing and before I know it I was quite lit. Stumbled back to the room too groggy to tally the day - but it was bad.

CP had a golden horseshoe all day. He literally played all afternoon at Aria on $20, playing 2 hands of nickel STP and turned that $20 into $200. On the way out he put $20 in China Shores and a quick bonus later he cashed out at $100. Then at Cromwell he played hours on $20, turning it into $40.

Tomorrow is another day.

A better day, no another rotten one.

After a tasty gut-busting dinner at Denny's, I walked to the Mirage to check on dad and the bartop progressive. It was up to $5850! I gave it a try with $200 and went quadless (again).

The plan was to make our way back to Aria for more DSTP. In the way I stopped by The Cromwell for more 9/7 TDB, $200 in with $100 out. 3 quads, none premium. Walked through the Bellagio and shoved $100 into the nickel Dream Card and lost it.

Finally at Aria, I sat down at the STP as the DSTP was occupied. Things weren't too bad, when I caught this beauty.

I played on this machine for the better part of the afternoon and wound up breaking even. Then to some $1 DDB and the third hand caught a quad. About 10 hands later nailed quads back to back for a $500 profit. Tried some slots: Buffalo, quick hits and Walking Dead - got nothing at all.

Time for dinner and we decided on Outback - not bad, not great. On to Cromwell for more TDB, -$200 with no quads.

The main plan was to play quarters at Chandelier Bar at the Cosmo. The place was absolutely packed and I couldn't even get close to the bar, let alone find a seat. So, I settled in at Bond Bar playing DDB and BDLX. Drank a number of maitais, caught a buzz and lost $220, quadless. I joined CP on the floor playing ULTX spin. I had a $150 Ti to, but I didn't realize the machine was set to .50 ($45 a spin) caught a few winners, which generates multipliers, but I didn't want to play $45 a spin and you can't bet anything except $45. Not wanting to leave multipliers behind, I played a few more rounds and escaped relatively unscathed. I switched to nickels and played a good while on $300, but it went to zero.

Back to Ti for a go on the .50 9/6 DDB and lost $100, quadless yet again. Tried some 6 Card and broke even. At this point I called it a trip. I have a good amount of FP to run tommorrow. As I am over budget for the trip, whatever the FP yields is going home.
