Re: strange rituals
Myninja, Welcome to forum and your very first post! Whatever makes your father in law feel better when in a casino is fine by me. Personally, I try to dress as inconspicuously as possible when going to casinos. This means, for example, selecting black and comfortable instead of red and wearing a minimum of jewelry. I prefer to focus on my game instead of inviting unwanted attention or be considered for a mugging due to bling. I often forget about the jewelry until driving to the casino. Then I stash jewelry in plain sight in the coffee cup holder to entice others to break into my car.um...I understand a golf club is handy for smashing a car window.

ty vidopoker, I think. On serious note, we carry a hammer under our front car seats so we will have some prayer for escape should we run into one of over 11,000 inland lakes in MI. Almost half of MI is comprised of water with 3177 miles of Great Lakes Shorelines. According to the Michigan Historical Center, one is never more than 6 miles from inland lakes or more than 85 miles from one of the Great Lakes.

A 45 will work as well as a hammer Marie. It will not drive nails though. Just a thought.

ty oej, probably. I could see me missing the window! YIKES!None of our beloved lakes are conveniently in a grid pattern or on express ways. There are treacherous, narrow, winding lanes around them. These are especially scary at night when one is trying to avoid deer, skunk, potholes, orange construction cones, etc. Trying to navigate an unfamiliar area just magnifies the problem.

Wow, sounds as risky driving there as it does in the freeways in LA.
At least your lakes don't have alligators in them like the bayous in louisiana or the lakes in Florida, right?

Maybe a sawed off shotgun would work better for you. No missing the windows then.

vidopoker, We have seen how people drive in CA, it's scary and we are happy to contend with driving very carefully around our lakes! No gators but ASIAN CARP are huge threat to our great lakes just now. Powers that be are desperately trying to prevent them from entering the lakes from rivers.
