I'vve lost more time that I could count, but then here in Minnesota that is the same story for everyone. iplayed both vp and slot and got no luck with either one. my husband play strictly vp and also rarely win, like once a year we were able to walk out of the casino ahead or even. unfortunately Minnesota is the worse place to gamble. I had better luck and more fun in vegas

I won $33 today in AC today, $13 post transport. I hit three quads for $94 and won $25 craps. That should produce a banner day. But lost $70 on one machine, $40 on another. Disgusted, yet elated to escape.

If you want to win or break even more often, set your cash out limit low and never play your cashed out tickets.  I never play more than $20 at a time and I immediately cash out every time the counter reaches $50 or more. If you do this you will find yourself leaving with more money more often.  If you play your winnings, you will almost always go home broke.  As a quarter player, the worst thing you can do is shove a $100 in the machine and play until it's gone.  Most days this will continue until the casino has all your money...

Yes, all occurred burning a tortured twenty at a time. Only cold cycle fix is to move, and most players are too stubborn. At the end, I should have cashed out at $45, but barreled ahead like a drunk sailor. Luckily, I soon reached $93. I only hit $50 at the tail end of PM session. I should have inserted winnings in my portable safe to insure no further play. But it may have been slightly worse, as I would probably have left break even. This way, I did at least become aware of two Prog RFs hit right under my nose. The first as I tried to abstain. The second I personally witnessed the 4022 coin ascension, on a machine I had become quite suspicious about.
Only solution to a cold cycle is to move, which most players are too stubborn to do.
I agree.  In my opinion there is no point in sitting on a machine that is in a down cycle. I know the math guys say this doesn't matter, but it does if you're playing for the short term.  I'm not concerned with "long term",  I play each day one at a time and leave the future to the math profits.

Alas, knowing and going are two different things. I was in too much if a shocked stupor to budge. I actually needed an ATM to insure a winning day. That only occurred because I stayed on a machine after the first quad for another quad and a $48 credit spike. That reminds me: RF lady told me her first quad came after an hour of play, and she's fast. Had I funds to stay beyond my $40 loss, I would have lost another $90 on it! She had the pockets and patience to ride it out, and happened to luck out.

The way I see it, the machines are all sitting there with their RNGs spinning.  Some are on an up cycle, some are down, some are spitting out royals and most are sucking up money. What happens to you depends upon what happens in the short time you are playing. If I'm not winning or at least hanging in there, I'm moving to another machine. There is no way to predict which machine is going to give you a jackpot, so it seems to me it's better to take all your small wins, put them in a pile and walk out with what you are given.  Over time this strategy may not make you a winner, but it will keep you from giving all your money to the casino over and over again. If this is garbage, I'm into it....

I agree with that; just frustrated. Merely a nominal winner yesterday, as the PM session chomped on $22 I should have used for lunch. But I was also itching to play for more than seventy minutes. I took a ninety minute break in between. Curiosity made me return to see where Prog was. Worst news was that it hit. I would have loved to see where. Then I lost ten, followed by three twenties. Just happy to recover 69% of that and get out of town.

If you aren't into grinding it out, you may as well play slots along with video poker.  At least you get to hear different music once in a while.

I walked by a $200 slot winner photographing the screen. That part is fantastic! A glaring VP problem: I must become strict on a cold cycle move. That's what prompted my impromptu prolonged second session. Had I merely lost $20, I would have had about the same net result without the panic. I improbably hit two max quads in twenty minutes. That doesn't happen every day. The RNG bailed me out of a deep hole. I did tack on some credits. But I won't compile even a tenth of the 25,000 for Diamond.
