Me too.  Which brings up a good topic for me.  The one thing that has always been the hardest for me is losing.  I had to develop a thick skin emotionally especially during losing streaks.  Another thing that goes along with it is money management.  Many times I have spent more than I wanted to or hit the atm too often only to regret it later.  Fortunately for me, I have gotten wiser over the years and that does not happen very often anymore.  I try to think things through before I spend more $$.

Sorry for going on and on.  I feel your pain and have been there more than I want to remember.

Good luck next time

Wow! Great discussion! Thanks for all of the replies and input.

The story that rfonlymama shared is _exactly_ what I would fear if I were trying to stash away my cash in secret places in my luggage. It sucks that housekeeping would stoop so low that they would rifle through dirty clothes looking for just such an instance where someone would be hiding wads of cash in them! Sorry that that happened!

And Marie -- thank you for the note of *LUCK*!! I am headed to Vegas on the 1st to meet my parents. I am hopeful that I'll hit a good one! Like I said -- just one machine has to agree with me. :)

I'll even write up a trip report...

Keeping my fingers crossed for my first 4-figure VP hit...

Thanks again for all of the info and stories!

GOOD LUCK TREY:  EVERYBODY HAS COVERED DIFFERENT WAYS TO TAKE MONEY HOME. I HAVE ASK FOR A CHECK MANY TIMES IN A.C. AND IT WAS NEVER A PROBLEM. WHEN I ASK FOR A CHECK I`LL MAKE A COPY OF THE CHECK AS A SOUVENIR. I NEVER DID THIS BUT MAYBE YOU CAN DEPOSIT IT IN A MAC MACHINE.
BUT DON`T CARRY ANY HEAT, SEE WHAT HAPPENED TO O.J.

There's an excellent chance they were not just searching randomly but had been tipped off that you had winnings.  And some of the hiding places mentioned would be pretty obvious to a thief.

This is pretty simple. I give the money to my wife. She stuffs it in her Bra. Perfectly safe. The last guy that reached in there had to marry her.

I cannot accept losing gracefully, either. And knowing the casino gods have no memory reminds me that I am no more likely to win next time to balance out.  I have found NEVER to get down more than I have a likely chance to recoup.  Just slow way down, play some pennies, maybe blackjack and resign myself to a losing trip.  It is rewarding in itself not to lose control and move toward desperation.  Can't win every time but I was just back from Vegas and took a tip from MikeA and had a rewarding run at blackjack. Just small stuff but countering that panic desire to WIN BACK what has been lost. Losing too much is kind of liking drinking too much for me.  I am not able to adhere to the accelerate your play, thinking the odds will even up. That, after all, goes completely against RNG theory. But I admire those who can enjoy plowing ahead and shrug off the bad run.  This advice would be for the newcomers as the vets have been thru all these stages long ago.

JM, wise beyond your years and wiser(weiser?) for not partaking in liquid courage to make you look more foolish.
