Re: Super Times Pay
Generally, this is graphed with the number of hands on the horizontal axis. Since you graphed it with the number of hands on the vertical axis and the cumulative probability on the horizontal axis, you actually graphed the inverse of the cumulative relative frequency distribution.
Thanks again. Setting the axes of the chart that way is the way I did it before Excel 2007 and was my preferred way since I thought it made this particular information visually easier to understand. I've posted a few charts here in the past that were done that way. Excel 2007 simplifies the process of creating charts by deciding on its own how the axes should be displayed. I'll fiddle with it some more and see if I can get Excel to chart it the other way.

Nothing at all wrong with putting the axes the way you did. I agree that it better illustrates the point you wanted to make. I just noticed that I should have identified it as an inverse cdf rather than a cdf based on your presentation.By the way all you have to do to switch axes is switch the order of your columns if Excel automatically graphed them OR afterward swap the ranges identified as "X Values" and "Y Values" in the Chart Wizard.

i'm curious about this game. did anyone ever get 6x or 7x or 9x on this game. i don't think those even exist. i get the bonus on the others 2x 3x 4x 5x 8x and 10x. of course those 4x and up rarely hit anything bigger than a pair or 2 pair. especially 10 time, usually hit nothing or just a pair.

No 6x, 7x, or 9x (unless you play Double Super Times Pay!). I think a couple years ago in this forum, we established the percentages for the various multipliers:17% 2x33% 3x16% 4x24% 5x6% 8x4% 10xwhich works out to the advertised average of 4.05x.You're also right about rarely hitting anything higher than 2 pair, but that is the case whether you get a multiplier or not. Using 9-6 Jacks as an example, you only get trips about 1 hand in 13.4 tries (7.4%) and you only get a straight or higher about 1 hand in 27.6 tries (3.6%).So out of 28 multipliers, about 27 of them are expected to be on hands that are lower than a straight. And that is only if you're hitting the average number of high hands! If you are in a drought, you may do a bit worse. But when you hit a multiplier on quads, it seems worth it...at least at that time.
