Re: Most unbelievable video poker stories
A very loud ,drunk ,woman was celebrating her birthday at the E.I. today. Had a nice hit on keno and started playing BP at $5 a spin.
Yells out and I look over and she has a King High Straight Flush. She ask me if she should ditch the 9 and go for the Ace. I say no. She asks why? I tell her she has a $1250 payout and if she goes for it she has a one in 47 shot of getting the Ace. Her friend tries to talk her out of it but she gets belligerent saying its her money and its her birthday.
Lets just say the story didn't have a happy ending. I'll leave it at that.

My most remarkable poker adventure happened when my husband and I were stranded in Atlantic City during a blizzard. . I had a royal flush dealt to me on a fifty play nickel poker. I had won $10,000.00! When the attendant asked me how I wated the pay off, I asked for nickles. I was kidding, but he took me seriously and told me that he was sorry, but they did not have that many nickles on hand!

I went to the Hard Rock Tampa last Sunday just to spend some "Mystery" free play. My wife usually likes to go just to play the free play only and not spend ANY of our money and see what happens.
The free play turned out to be only $40, so we played quarters DDB / $1.25 per bet. She counted the exact 32 hands and we cashed out with a little over $40. She went to cash out our ticket at the window, and behind her back, I put in a single $20 and switched to dollars.
I was DEALT a royal on the second hand for $4000.00. So, I got busted gambling by the wife, who ended up not caring at all because we had just won the 4k. Then we left

Back in the late 80's I was playing at Tropicana in Las Vegas. They used to have an old bank of progressive .25 cent VP machines that were near the north side bar (not there anymore) with a tropical fish motif.
Anyway, I hit a royal on spades and the fun thing was the reaction of a lady sitting next to me when she saw the RF she got more excited than I did, just about jumped out of her seat, clutched my arm, saying she'd never seen a royal hit before. I said, well take a good look.

OK I'll share a story. A few years ago after having a bad run of luck I
had myself barred out of the casino. They call it "Self Exclusion".
Basically you sign a contract stating you wish to get barred from
gambling there for a year or whatever and they take your photo etc. Once
you are barred if you are caught on the property you will be arrested
for trespassing and they don't have to pay you if you hit a jackpot.I
was good for awhile but then started sneaking back in figuring they
long ago forgot me. Anyway, since I was barred out and would be arrested
if I was caught I would throw away any chances of hitting a royal flush
since that would result in being asked for ID etc. So there I
was one day minding my own business playing the old Double Double Bonus
game at $5 a hand. I hit "Deal" and it just deals me a Royal Flush! The
machine freezes up the screens saying, "Jackpot $4000! Call Attendant!"
The light on top the machine is flashing and the bells ringing. My
reaction is "DAMN IT!"
