Re: CET debt
Minn, do not know if it was your intention, but you are proving my point. i stated ' there are plenty of folks in jail who the law regarding investment securities'. and indeed, you pointed out some of the criminals and there are many more you could have listed. i also stated, 'when was the last time anyone heard of a casino executive going to jail for breaking any gambling regulations'? the examples you gave included a 'mob' guy, convicted on tax fraud and examples of online sites (some located overseas) that were not subject to state regulation. my original point was that dispite much mentioned regulation of USA LAND BASED CASINOS, i am still waiting to hear of any management person who has done time for breaking any gaming regulation laws. must be evrything and everybody in the casino business is pure as can be. yes, i will take my chances with wall street, with all it's warts. at least i know their regulators will put someone in jail.

The real Wall St. criminals are too big to fail, too big to jail. Only the small fry do time, and that's in Club Fed.
As for Wall St., I'm afraid we're in the same boat with the miners in the boom town. Every weekend they brought their gold dust to town to play the Big Wheel game. A stranger happened in one weekend and noticed that no one ever won the big prizes, and those who might win the smaller ones never made their money back. He pulled one of the miners aside and asked, "don't you see the game is rigged?"
"Sure, mister, we all know that. But heck, it's the only game in town."

notes I may be wrong but I seem to remember that Donald Trump was forced out of his majority ownership in the Atlantic City casinos as a result (or offshoot) of a bankruptcy. He may have the less than 10% ownership as a tradeoff for the rights to use his name. Maybe someone with more knowledge of Atlantic City, or Mr. Trump, can confirm this?Tedlark is correct.....*gasp* *choke* *Ack ack uhn* *Cough cough* **Help ack cough wheeze*......Trump indeed has been forced out of AC due to bankruptcy during the period spanning 2005 thru 2011 (or thereabouts) .... it was mostly due to business and investments ELSEWHERE by his companies, mostly real estate developments and related ventures that went under when the economy tanked......Trump was scrambling for cash (as usual) and as a result he sold off things like most of his AC holdings but retained something so that his name remained......it was the feeling of certain owners that his name still held value in the AC casino market, but that now is a dead issue. It is now synonymous with just about every NEGATIVE perception a casino can hold (lousy service, lousy games, lousy pay tables, lousy food, lousy facilities.)Someone with more time and interest can look into the SPECIFIC, sordid details of the whole Trump debacle (not just AC but EVERYTHING.) It is kinda sleazy, and certainly hypocritical, when you consider the B.S. that guy spews all the time and the crapola he puts out concerning his own relevance and achievements. Remember folks, he was BORN filthy rich......

i believe it was steve wynn who said he NEVER knew anyone who regularily visited a casino, who was net postiive. there are millions who have made money betting on wall street, myself included.good point/postI believe that is is POSSIble to be "net positive" in a REGULAR fashion in a casino, but NEVER in such a way that is either truly worthwhile (meaning a livable wage type scenario where a person earns more than the equivalent of 45 or 50k per annum.) You would have to disciplined in such a fashion that it truly would be a "JOB" with no "FUN" to speak of, and utilizing things such as comps and players cards is a non-issue because it destroys anonymity which is vital to maintaining any truly "positive or profitable" in-house regular action. In other words, casinos will cast you into the street if they catch wind of someone being truly profitable ... so that means NO players card. Now here is the point where Bob Dancer shows up.......he apparently is the one exception to all this, but only because the casinos (in Vegas mostly) PERCEIVE that he brings in more business and is otherwise "good" for business to justify his ADVANTAGE PLAY (which goes on and on and on.....and on....)On a different note but still relevant......I neglected to report part of my very LAST trip to AC which was back during the second week of December.....I stayed and played at BAllys, and I can honestly say I won absolutely Nothing, saw NO one win a gosh darn thing (especially as far as Video Poker went.) it was awful, and it was the type of awfulness that made you question the integrity of the machines (again.)Keeping in mind Ballys AC is server based, I played their hideously bad DDB progressive machines, with a lousy paytable.......but what made me play was the actual level of the progressives: $1700 plus for the royal, 615 bucks for the 4 aces with 2,3,4 225 for four aces and 219 for four deuces or treys or 4s with kicker......in short, the jackpots were all kinda high so I said what the hell........I managed to blow over 800 bucks in a very short time, hitting nothing once again,,,,,So I switched to the machines with the 99% plus paytables (9/7/5 Double bonus being one of the better choices, as well as goold old 9/6 JOB and 9/6/5 Double Double Aces and Faces) Of course, these machines pay very little reward credits (50 for 1) but after losing to the awful paytbles on the progressive, I was fuming and just wanted a positive outcome.I received no such thing.....if anything the so called "advantageous" machines dealt and spit out even WORSE crapola!!! I could not believe it.........I will not even tell you how much I dumped there but it was bad.No, I honestly feel that, given the control and manipulation that the server based games offer casinos, these machines were indeed set to deal nothing. More horrifically abysmal results scream this......it was the middle of the week in a notoriously DEAD period 2 weeks before x-mas, and the casino would have gotten NO bang for its buck if I hit any kind of jackpot sitting there all by myself. I will gladly arrange a meet up with any player and take them to the players booth and pull up my play results from that day (it can be done, I know how and who to ask and what questions and info to request, to clearly show what I was playing, where, when, and what my NET results were, so as to diffuse any accusations of me exaggerating or whatever.....I'm totally serious.)

I have to wonder still myself every time I visit the casino, if I am reall getting a fair and honest shake there. As many may remember from prior posts, for the year 2014, my Royalless streak exceeded 500k hands twice in the same year. Most of that play was on single line games. Toward the end of last year, on Deuces wild games, I had gone 100k hands also mostly on single line games without Deuces quads. The probability of those events probably sets a record of some sort nationwide. It is pretty easy to figure out of at least approximate. I know it has to be millions to one, I just don't know the exact number. I guess it could be figured out pretty close basing 1 Royal in a million hands. ( note that for the second set of 500k hands without a Royal, I still haven't hit one and have quit counting. ) on an average 98% game of draw poker. The deuces record results of play on the roughly 99% Airport Deuces game. The deuces quads did finally hit the other day without my player's card in. I didn't count any occasional play of a few sessions on a nickel game or a few sessions on nickel spin poker. The hits on both of those were well below average, I just didn't keep track of those diversion sessions. The bottom line is over negative 50k for the 2014 year. For a quarter player, that is almost unbeliveable and translates to a total return of just under 95%.
