Re: Contests
I think all of the contests should be limited to 5 sessions per day. If people need more VP than that they can do the challenges, practice with the training program, play a variety of other games, or perhaps participate in this forum.I like that idea.  It would certainly cut down on the number of winners who were dealt the winning hand.
I suspect that the contest winners will have STILL been dealt a winning hand. The only thing that would change is an individual's opportunity to run down the current contest leader. For me, if I choose to take up that challenge, I like having that opportunity.

That idea has been brought up before Chatty it was met with great resistance from the powers that be here. I.E. Webman. Not really. I would appreciate you digging up those posts so I can see what "great resistance" looks like. It's still up for consideration and I think it would be better in a lot of ways. I think where we may end up is limited sessions on the daily contest and unlimited on the weekly contest. But right now we are focusing on 7 Star and there probably won't be any other contest format changes until mid-october at the earliest. We've made some significant changes over the course of the past year and we want to see this all run together for a bit before we make further adjustments.

I love the challenge of the tournament. Don't give up. You never know what will happen.

Every time there has been a contest suggestion limiting sessions you have stated that limiting sessions would not be fair to the people who make playing these contests their life's work so to speak.

I enjoy all the contests even though I rarely make the leader list.

I could be wrong. Show me.

Well, unless I mis-read WebMan's response, he did not reject limited sessions.

As I said, if I like the contest game, I would enjoy playing it to try and run down the leader. What difference does it make if Player A or Player B gets the big hand?

A limit of 5 sessions for people with names staring with "e" and ending with "dog743" could be a nice feature.

Webman, I think you are doing a great job and I am glad you are listening to us. We have came a long way from this time a year ago on the contests. Last year at this time all we had was triple double bonus games shoved down our throat over and over and over. I think the contest format in its present format is better than its ever been. There is always room for improvement but I think we are just about where we need to be on the contests. Thanks again Webman for listening to us.

One example is on page 12 under vp.com contest. It is under suggestions for contests started by me.
