Re: A Pretty Good Night
Nice hits Ted!
gregorio did you take that picture at Harrah's Joliet? You didn't say.
I have taken at least 10 pics at Harrahs probably. I got warned for "vulturing" there once, not about taking pictures. Taking pics may technically be against the rules there, but if you haven't been told the rule in the last five years or so, things maybe have changed. I've only been asked to not take a picture twice at any casino in over 1000 attempts?
Speaking of pics, more pics from Vegas coming soon everyone!
I've heard of a few players being straight barred from that dump for vulturing.

I usually don't post much anymore as many of these threads just turn into juvenile banter for the most part. However, I can't remain quiet on the subject of taking pictures of video poker jackpots. Anyone who states that the casino stops or prevents them from taking photos with their cellphone is clearly full of crap. . . .
Those that walk the walk can easily see through those that just talk the talk.
Best post so far this year!!
And certain particular posters pack and pile crap higher than a herd of burros out at Red Rock.

Ahh, but remember that the year is still so young.

We stopped going to the local Harrahs years ago because of piss casino personnel and casino policies. So Ted's experience is completely believable as it is a Harrah's property.

In fairness to ALL.....I have had a few (rare but few) times where some johnny-on-the-spot security guard at Harrahs-AC come over and tell me to put my camera phone away, while he points to some barely-visible plaque on the wal that has some sort of list of "rules" that state something about it being forbidden to record or take images while inside the casino without prior authorization. Perhaps this is a HARRAHS "thing", who knows, stranger chit has happened.....but the VAST VAST majority of times you can snap pics of wins (or anything else for that matter) without any issues. The last time I used my camera phone in a casino had nothing to do with Jackpots though....in Caesars AC the day after X-mas, I went to use the bathroom on the second floor next to the diamond club buffet.....the Handicap stall there is spacious and usually clean....except this time it was NOT clean....in fact it was filthy awful, bordering on toxic.....someone had had an "Accident" (although it was obvious it was NOT an accidental accident) and there was literally turds everywhere....EVERYWHERE, except where they were supposed to be. In disbelief, I held my nose and snapped a pic so I could show management....this was totally unacceptable, as well as discriminatory since any disabled (or elderly) person wishing to use the handicap stall was now....."SOL"....a Multi-Billion-Billion dollar corporation should never have poop on the floor for any length of time. I waited 30 minutes to see if anyone was on the way to clean it up, and in typical CET fashion, no one was, so i let em' have it.....

I would only be jealous were I making wagers commensurate to yours, which is not the case.

FAA that doesn't make sense. You don't play at my level and I don't play at higher levels that many other people play at. You however, have a history here of making comments about your going into the high limit rooms at casinos and then sniping about the hits and jackpots that you witness these people get. That is jealousy. I've seen people hit jackpots playing at higher levels than I do but I wish them congratulations and don't make comments about them rolling around in their money. I realize that I too: can hit those same jackpots if I choose to play at those elevated levels if I want to take the risk.

This info is a much more concise statement of the policy you will find posted on the wall in a brownish/bronzed, and clearly old and weathered, plaque on the wall at Harrah's AC and (I assume but I have never actually seen it with me own two eyes, similar plaques on the walls, somewhere, inside Bally's AC & Caesars AC!)
The wall plaques clearly are from many years ago so this policy goes back a long time....
Still, the actual enforcement of this policy is clearly very weak, if not non-existent, and players in general should never fear snapping pictures of well earned, deserved jackpots!
What could possibly happen, other than stern admonishment AFTER THE FACT? If you humbly "apologise/apologize" I'm sure they will let the issue go, especially since they now want you to stay and play and give back your winnings!!! Lol. "Better to ask forgiveness than seek permission..." Blah blah has application here too....

Mount Airy has insisted on and watched me delete jackpot pics from my phone. It doesn't seem I have to worry bout that anymore. I haven't seen a jackpot or heard that sweet music coming from a machine for so long I wouldn't know what one looks like without your guys'/gal's pics.
