Laughlin in July

Post by onemoretry »

I mentioned in the Heat Wave thread that we were heading off to Laughlin on a Caesars junket.

The best description that I can come up with for the trip is: the weather was hot, hot, hot - but the machines were not, not, not. In three days there, I had zero winning sessions, and finished $3600 in the red. My wife did a little better, thanks to a $1000 royal at Aquarius, but still somewhat in the red.

We stopped at Seneca Niagara for two nights on the way home, and it wasn't a whole lot better. Thanks to a very late in the game $2000 royal there I was able to come away with a "mighty" $150 win. My wife was not that fortunate, though, and dropped a fair bit there.

All in all, not a trip we will have fond memories of.

The beautiful thing about being human is that we have the ability to replace not so fond memories with better ones on a routine basis.

Better luck next time to the both of you.

Sorry OMT that your Laughlin trip turned out to be a bummer. Hopefully your next one will be more rewarding. Stay healthy the two of you.

It really stinks when you get royals and yet still come home a net loser. Makes you wonder what else can you do? At least you had something to cheer about here and there.

Yikes. In the red despite a $1,000 RF is a particularly galling outcome. I lose 15% of your loss and it’s a massive crisis. I can just imagine casino honchos laughin’ up a storm upon reviewing the monthly revenue reports. Hey, players are jolly in Joliet.
