2010 Mustang Dilemma-Go To Casino Poll?

Post by Lucky Larry »

OK, had to take truck in for repair.   Dealer loaned me a 2010 Red Ford Mustang (620 mles on the odometer). Wife and I have often laughed about having a sporty car to drive to the nearest casino which is 120 miles away down Interstate 10 and a back highway road with an average speed of 80. Hard to justify going to the casino after coming back this weekend from Vegas but it sure would be a once-in-life-time trip!

We could just drive over and drive back and not even gamble!

So what do you think we should do?

Just be careful of the troopers and stand on that pedal son!

I think you said you lived in Houston, so you would have to go to another state to the casino, correct?
Just to cover all the bases, I would make sure there is no clause in the rental agreement with the dealer that says if the car is taken out of state and there is an accident, YOU are held 100% responsible.

If no issue, go 4 it! I loving doing things on a whim...

Any excuse for a road trip in a new Mustang works for me.

I agree sometimes the most meaningful experiences in life come from taking the road less taken or doing things spur of the moment.

Here we come!

Trip to casino was great!    VP play was fair but driving the new 2010 Mustang was awesome    On the back highway my wife got a twitch in her big toe and we went from 70 to +.. in about 5 seconds with no drag or sensation of effort. No wonder the speedometer goes to 120 in 20 mph increments. Created another casino related memory!

Glad it was memorable for you and that you did not report a ticket with your trip. My buddy has an 08 pony and I drove it from Sams Town to the California in LV. It was over before it started. Sure is quick but that puppy sucked some gas doing it. I'll revert to my compact car.

Glad you went and had fun! Unfortunately in LA, there are not many roads "less" taken...

Unfortunately in LA, there are not many roads "less" taken... What the heck do you call those "snakey thingys" that go to and from the injun casinos? Oh my error, San Manuel isn't that far from the beaten path. Most injun casinos in So Cal require driving 2 lane roads in some desolate canyon area. Not the best for speeding mind you but keeps you alert while driving them.

I'm talking about LA proper! And yes, besides San Manuel, you are correct about the snakey thingys. The particular ones that stick out are Soboba, Barona and Chumash (unless you take 101 north to buellton instead of the 154).
