A Small World

Post by denflo60 »

It sure is a small world. I just received a private message from another member of this forum  who using my denflo60 name remembered the real me from my job more than 15 years ago at the old Chrysler Corporation.  That's like meeting someone you haven't seen in a long time at a neutral airport like Chicago or Atlanta.  Two of us  from Automotive to Video Poker.   Absolutely amazing.  Now there is at least one other person  on this message board who perhaps doesn't think I am completely crazy and can vouch for my work credentials from a past life.  Denny

As Denny said , this is a small world. Six Degrees of Separation. I can vouch that he is not completely crazy. As my old Guru told me once: " If you wanted Peace, Tranquility and Sanity, why did you get into the Automotive Industry."
In all seriousness, I found him to be very knowledgeable and as all Engineers are, naturally inquisitive.

Wonder who else I know on here.

I just wanted to add that I have never doubted Denny's credentials. I think it shows a lot of moxie to post beliefs that are not in tune with the mainstream. I also happen to be a big believer in out-of-the-box thinking. However, sometimes you have to understand the box is pretty small and well understood.  That said, maybe Denny will find out there are other psychological factors (or some such thing) that influences our gaming results. If it works, stay with it.

And, since you brought up rare occurances, I once ran into a couple from my hometown on the only cruise I've ever taken.

I like a hobby that in the LONG RUN is profitable

In the Army, boot camp, got leave Kentucky Derby weekend. Walking through one of the biggest throngs of people I have ever witnessed, ran smack dab into my hometown buddy's uncle(A sucessful FOMOCO Dealer).
He had box seats for the Derby. Great!
I didn't care for the Mint Juleps though.

For deuces wild games I think missing penalty cards cost only around .01%. You're probably doing even better than you think. I play some NSUD and FPDW but have a low threshold for boredom on these games. OTOH, I have a friend that only plays variations of deuces because she likes them so much.

I really enjoyed the 5-play FPDW they had at Arizona Charlies for about a week. Alas, those kind of plays never last. I have played FPDW at the Fiestas, several Stations, Sam's Town, Silverton, Binions and the Hard Rock. So, I guess I get in enough hands. Where do you play?
