Best Game You'll Never Play in a Casino?

Post by FloridaPhil »

All my casino play is strictly deuces and things are going well so I'm not changing any time soon.  I do get bored once in a while and check out some of the other games on this website.  I particularity like Multi-Strike Poker. I would never play this game in a real casino, but I have to admit it is fun.

I think it's called ten hand Super Times Pay, I was watching someone play a while back and they were hitting and playing having a great time, looked like fun to me. I shoved a $100 in the game and it was gone within minutes, would have liked to play more but I haven't lost $100 that fast since we all got together and put $20 a piece in to play the $100 slot.

The variance on this game must be out of sight.  I can see where you would need a pile of money to play it for very long.

An extra coin for a 15% chance at multiplying (2x to 10x) raises the variance by a lot in Super Times Pay, but with a sizable bankroll it will add 0.28% to your long run return.I guess for me it will be hot roll poker, being able to roll two dices at random for a 2x-12x multiplier is exciting. But doubling the bet is something I will not consider doing. For Multi-Strike and Ultimate X, you would need to approach the strategy differently than you would for the normal game. There is correction for Multi-Strike on Video Poker for Winners, but there is yet correction on Ultimate X play.Mastering the Multi-Strike 9/6 Jacks or Better is rewarding, adds 0.25% to the return.

On your next trip to CT. Phil, you can play Multi-Strike for nickels if they haven't yanked it out yet at Mohegan Sun. There is only one left. Last year, My Mrs. hit a Royal on the top line, so it was times 8. That really made her day. You can also change denomination on that machine if you want. I actually was thinking of trying your single coin on that machine and after a hit of 4 or more, play max bet on all 4 lines. May try it on this site first. Gun shy this year and have to be careful. By the way, checked out all the listings on the lakes. With this winter, I almost called you to go visit one.

Hitting a royal on line 4 for 8x will certainly provide a huge lift to one's bankroll. Wont need to see a royal on a single line game for the next 320k hands.

Southpoint in Vegas has the 9/6 Jacks or Better variant of this game, requires 20 quarters a round. I'd image this game will hardly ever be vacant for various reasons.

The one at Mohegan is only 9/5 for job, but that is at the nickel level. Mrs. was playing nickels at the time. Still a great win for her some months ago.

Hitting a Royal on the top line would make my day.  I've been playing Multi-Strike on this website and I've hit  a number of top line 5-of-a-kinds, but no quad deuces or royals yet. I think I would play this game in a casino if I could find a nickel machine.  I believe the lowest we have around here is quarters.  I can see how you could easily go through $1000 playing Multi-Strike quarters on a bad day.  The strategy for this game is pretty weird, but it is fun.

I'll be teaching a free class in 9/6 JoB Multi Strike next Wednesday at noon at the South Point in Las Vegas. Anybody in town who want's to learn this "weird" strategy is welcome.Today I teach 9/6 DDB Quick Quads --- which is the game I enjoy most.

I sure wish I lived in Vegas so I could go to Bob's classes.  I suspect he would get tired of seeing me after a month or two.
