CET free play offer reduction

Post by notes1 »

cherokee is considered my 'home' casino by CET.  their free play offers in the past have been superior to other casinos. but, my offers have been reduced more than what i would expect, for the seasonal adjustment typical at cherokee. i have been reading on mendelson's forum similar comments from others, about CET.  are others getting fewer free play offers from CET, than just 6 months ago? are other casinos also reducing their offers? i am guessing that the CET reduction may be related to their banckruptcy proceedings.

Cherokee has been sending us free room offers for a long time.  Recently, we noticed the free room offers are now "reduced rate offers" and the free pay is almost nonexistent. Great way to lose customers, especially when Biloxi seems to be increasing their offers.

you may see more offers for rooms at cherokee, when the new casino opens by the end of the summer. that may draw more of the crowd from atlanta, as it is a closer drive. as far as biloxi, i am not expert. but, i would caution playing at beau rivage. their machines resemble what is happening at tunica. also, beware the casinos that seem to be giving away 'free' stuff, especially to low limit players, there is likely a reason they are doing that. two of the largest beatings i ever had were at tunica and beau last year. went once, will likely never do it again, unless i hear reports that things have changed.  my ytd results are soooo much better, since i avoided certain casino markets. those makets that need to draw gamblers in, with additional casino expenses, are getting that money from someplace.

Not that I am any sort of a relevant CET player. I see my everyday free offers turn into $35 a night offer as of late. If I do get a free hotel stay offers, it will be designated for Monday thru Wednesday.I still got my MGM mLife offer in tact. I am also playing myVEGAS to enhance future trips.

They give us free waterfront rooms on high floors and even throw in an end suite once in a while.  It's one of the best deals a quarter player can find these days.  If you stick with quarters, use good strategy and don't go on tilt, I think you would find it's not all that bad.  There is no way I would play anything bigger than quarters with odds like that. You can't justify the potential loss even if their hotel is wonderful. As a side note, my best video poker day ever came at the Beau Rivage in 2008.

it isn't 2008 anymore. i have posted about how nice the beau is and i have also posted that one needs to take into consideration, the 'free' stuff that a gambler gets, when determining whether a casino is a good value or not. but, casinos are in the business to make money, and if they need to give away so much to attract players, they must have a way to recoup that investment.  you may have the luck or the discipline to keep your losses within an acceptible amount, others may not.

No casino is going to continue to give stuff away if you are not worth something in return.

I have relied on luck, as my discipline is usually that of a pre school child. I just devised a new Safe System. I usually win at least $50 from vouchers at my initial casino. Then I blow it elsewhere in town, and then some. Now I will save that money in a thin wallet with my player card, check a bag and depart for a second casino with a nominal amount  I left home with. Then pick up my bag just before leaving town that evening. I am quite confident that my bag will not be tampered with. Is this a solid solution to my spendthrift ways?
