CS Straight Talk Review
I am very pleased with the outcome of our Cheap Strategy plain talk
discussion on the Strategy Forum. I think we uncovered some good
information and flushed out a lot of BS that was being thrown it's way.
Here are some of the most notable quotes.[quote=alpax]The CS is

and accurate description of the CS experience. The only comment I would
add is this. We don't have nickel video poker in Florida, but from my experiencing elsewhere the nickel VP odds are even worse than the lousy
quarter odds. CS allows you to play with better odds at practically the
same price per hand.[quote=alpax]Phil's bankroll on the CS lets

is a good shot at getting one set of quad deuces at any point of the
day. [/quote]This is the 500 pound gorilla in the room that the
critics are missing. Using CS with a $250-$300 a day bankroll gives you
an excellent chance of hitting a quad deuce or a royal flush in a day's
play. Playing 5,000 hands a day at max coins would do the same thing,
but the cost would be much higher than a small budget player can afford
to risk. Busting is the biggest enemy of small budget players, CS
almost totally eliminates this possibility. In addition,
playing single coin dollars or switching to dollars at $25 (optional) takes the game's excitement level to an
even higher level. Even if you only hit a single coin quad deuce, you
still win $200 instead of $250 with max coin quarters. A single coin
royal earns $250 instead of $62.50. If you are lucky enough to hit a $1
max coin quad deuce (done it many times) you win $1,000, which is the
same as waiting for a max coin quarter royal flush which is 9 times more
rare. You can do the math on what happens if you hit more than a few of these or
a max coin royal flush. Here's a hint. You win over a three year
period which some people say is impossible.If you're bored with this whole CS thing and don't want
to talk about it anymore, don't reply. If there are no replies, I will get
the message and move on to some other topic. This doesn't hurt my
feelings at all. I'm not posting this because I want my own radio show
or to sell books or software. I'm doing it because it works well for me and I
want others to have another option other than throwing their money away chasing a dream that in my opinion is never going to happen. The casinos are betting that I'm right and they are winning.

[/quote]That's true, but I would have to convince people that I make 6 figures a year playing video poker and there's only one person on this forum who claims to be able to do that and he's already got a radio show. No one wants to hear some old guy on the radio or on this forum talking about winning a pile of quarters.

What a funny thought! I can't imagine any of the guests on my show to go on one by FP after they read his CS.It reminds me of what they said of G. Harrold Carswell when Nixon nominated him for the Supreme Court 45 years ago: "Even if he is mediocre, there are a lot of mediocre judges and people and
lawyers. They are entitled to a little representation, aren't they, and a
little chance?"There are a lot of mediocre gamblers who believe in silly systems. They need their own guy on the radio!

I'm not posting this because I want my own radio show

I believe that is the statement that instigated Mr. Dancer to respond with something ... FP has a habit of it.

Bob, I agreed to limit my discussions exclusively to the recreational play forum. What on earth are you doing here hanging around with us silly no nothing quarter players? I suggest we stop the childish banter and go on with our lives. Unless you have me banned from this forum which I'm pretty sure you can do, I will never stop calling out your salesmanship for exactly what I believe it is. I don't believe your claims any more than you believe mine so we are even. I'm sorry if this upsets you, but I'm positive your followers will jump to your defense and denounce me as a dangerous fraud which is one of the nicer things they have said about me. You got lucky a few years ago and turned it into a lucrative career. I get that and I'm happy for you, but the truth is no casino anywhere would allow you to take six figures out of their coffers year after year and not do something about it. The idea that anyone would believe that is laughable. Of course, some people want to believe it so that makes it so.

You can take pot shots all you want at me, but if I respond in kind you get huffy? Grow up! Unlike your comments about me which are always repetitive, my comment was original and funny. Deal with it! I would never describe you as a "no nothing." I don't even know what that is. I wouldn't object, however, if somebody else called you a "know nothing." Or if they said you were like Energizer Bunny Rabbit who just kept going and going and going. You never add anything new but you keep repeating and repeating and repeating. There's a LOT to talk about in video poker without repeating and repeating and repeating.You said a week ago you would stop writing about CS. I said that I didn't believe that. And here you still are doing exactly what you said you wouldn't do. Now you say you'll limit your talk to the Recreational Forum. I find you pretty unbelievable on that one as well. We'll see again, I suppose.

I said I would limit my CS discussions to the Recreational Forum and I am a man of my word. I will not promote, recommend or answer any more questions about CS on the Strategy Forum and if anyone does this for me I will tell them to take it back to the Recreational Forum where it properly belongs. There is more than one way to view the game of video poker and no one strategy is
always right for every personal situation or circumstance. I believe CS has worth as a way for small budget recreational players to enjoy the game of video poker without accumulating huge loses. I would appreciate it if Mr. Dancer at least agrees this part could possibly be true.I will not refrain from disagreeing with anyone if I sincerely believe they are in error as I am sure you won't either. I will also attempt to regain my joy in this forum and not overly concern myself with things as trivial as playing a video game.

I think Mr. Dancer is referring to the post where you stated where you are getting tired of being the messenger for the CS, and expects to live up to it.
