13k vp jackpot ( not mine though)
The other night I was plinking away at a 2 cent spin poker game because the guy next to me had the lone 5 cent Multi-Strike machine tied up. At least he was nice, quiet, kept to himself, and a non smoker to boot. Pretty soon I hear the music and glance over. Sure enough a 13k jackpot for him. Of course I congratulated him right away. What I hadn't noticed was the guy had been playing max bet dollars on that nickel machine. He was playing Double Bonus Deuces Wild and caught 5 Aces on the top line. This machine allows a max bet of 10 units. That means he was playing forty bucks at a time. At 160 for 1 x 8x 10, gave him nearly 13k, but he also had hits on the lower lines putting his total well over 13k. Had it been a nickel bet like mine would have been, it still would have been $ 640 bucks for just the 5 Aces. Several suits came over before they paid him and were shining flashlights on the insides of the machine, writing all kinds of stuff down, etc. After about a half hour, they did pay him and he was off after playing a few follow up hands.

Every now and then you see something cool like that. I once sat next to a black guy that was quietly playing Keno $1 at a time. He looked like he was off on his lunch hour. He hit a $7,000 jackpot and was so excited I thought he was going to have a stroke. He called his wife, then all his relatives while he was waiting to get paid. I talked to him for a while and he was a really nice man. I was so happy for him I smiled all the way home.

This a fun game to play and I hope it is still here when you and the Mrs. make it back to Ct. I like to play it using single coin play on just the bottom line. I bet 5 nickels. When I hit 4 or more, instead of betting more on the bottom line, I play 5 nickels on all 4 lines which costs me a dollar for that play. The pay table is 98.61% so not bad. Often times I hit something like money back on the bottom line, but of course that advances you up the ladder depending what you hit next. At any rate, lots of fun and as you can see from the hit the player below had, quite rewarding sometimes. For those who wish to play 4 lines all of the time and advance their bet up, the machine offers a quarter and dollar play option. The part I like best is you can bet from 1 to 10 units. Sometimes I just play a nickel on the bottom line and when hitting 4 or more, just play 20 cents at a nickel a line. Of course, you are paying the Royal penalty doing that, but I have also had some really good other hits on the third and 4th lines other than the Royal. I do like getting paid 4 or even 8 times the normal amount. Heck, I even like getting paid twice the normal amount on the second line.

Anytime you can find a game on the east coast over 98% it's a good thing. We'll be in Reno/Tahoe in two weeks for our 50th anniversary. We're staying at the Peppermill and are really looking forward to some hills for a change. Not much chance of getting back to CT this year as the weather is turning cold. Sounds like a good time to head to Florida! I'll meet you in Miami, you'll like it.

Always a good thing to see dealt premium hands on those multiline game.
Spin Poker is fun to play here, but it is not so kind to the wallet at the live casino for real stakes.

I tried the MS a time or two and got absolutely smoked. I figured it was my strategy, and it was. Using regular strategy (in my case DDB) is asking for disaster. VPW has a good trainer for MS.

I love playing Multi-Strike on this website. I would never play it in a casino. It's definitely a feast or famine experience. I am trying to lose weight, but not in my wallet!
