How I spent My Saturday

Post by Tedlark »

The morning started out not much unlike any other Saturday, well if all other Saturdays included 14 inches of snow being dumped on you between Friday and Saturday. I cleared the bulk of the snow from my driveway and sidewalks on Friday, leaving left for Saturday just what the city snow plow drivers decided to gift the bottom of my driveway with overnight Friday night on their runs.

I finished up and decided to help a neighbor out, always helpful and mindful that doing good deeds helps a person's karma. My plan was to go to Four Winds in New Buffalo Michigan much later in the day because they were having a "promotion" where people were invited to come choose a Coach purse, wallet, clutch, etc. After cleaning up from shoveling I decided to go then to Four Winds instead of waiting until 5:00 pm or so. Heading out I arrived at Four Winds and I discovered they were having another "promotion" in which they were giving away toastmaster waffle makers so I picked up one of those too.

After picking up the waffle maker I spotted that my favorite Dream Card machine was open so I sat down and began some play. About 10 minutes into the session I was dealt quad 4's courtesy of the Dream Card feature and after holding the 4's I picked up 2 kickers on the draw for a nice $1,800.00 hand pay.

Continuing on, this first hand pay was followed by: a 1k royal in clubs; a 1k AWAK; dealt quad 3's with 3 kickers on the draw for a $2,200.00 hand pay; a second 1k royal but in diamonds; a second 1k AWAK; a third 1k AWAK; and, finished off by a third 1k royal in hearts. I was also dealt small quads 3 times for $625.00 each.

So total for the day was: 2 hand pays totaling 4k, 3 1k royals, 3 1k AWAKs, 1 Coach purse for my niece and last by not least, 1 waffle maker (that I will not be giving to Habitat for Humanity).

I'll post pictures tomorrow, too tired to post them tonight. Pictures will go up after I return from picking up my Speedway gas card from Harrah's Joliet.

Congratulations. The convoluted high variance games are evidently still paying off for you. Most players would be buried under a snowfall of losses.

Happy to see you had a great day. I am sure you enjoyed the day but it was the waffle iron that made it great!

Ted, you gotta love the Karma of doing good deeds.

Congratulations, wish somewhere around here had Dream Card. One of my favorites machines but everyone took them out.

Thats great Ted. Like you, I help my next door neighbor out when it snows. Then I go over and do dads. Seem to always have a nice vp day when that happens. We dodged the bullet this round with warm temperatures, but winter is far from over. Had over 3 inches of rain though. That would have been 30 inches of snow. I can still hear Florida Phil saying c'mon down. Anyone remember that commercial. Goes way way back.
