Someone made a killing today in the HL room and I was right in the middle of it. After a hard fought break even VP day, I entered the room for a quiet drink. Or so I thought. A 7S and wife enter like
they own it. Both looked like Sopranos extras. He asks me if I am playing my machine. I said yes, as my card must be active for the drink. These guys love
having their way. They decide to hunker down. Diamond wife sits next to me and enters her $20 FP on
Cleopatra slot. Suddenly she re-triggers it for fifteen spins. This
thing is a cash cow. Her win was $3,496. Man thanks me. She hit a $4,000
RF without the 41,000 hand effort! I said, "And I'm happy I broke even."
She replied, "We just about did BE. We've been here since yesterday."
SMH. This fortune is what it must feel like to be Paco, Ted, et al. I'm not jealous as I
never play slots. But WTH. My only luck is bad and none! Maybe I can
play some form of 3496 in Power Ball?

Groundhog Post Day?

If it makes you feel better the last 2 weekends have taken back my gains from 3 weeks ago. There has only been 2 years since I started playing that I ended ahead on a win/loss statement. And even then the losses from other casino's put me in the negative overall for the year.

I tried the new Resorts World Catskill's this weekend and got clobbered. I didn't witness anyone else winning anything either.

Both my name checks checked in with bells on! You'd think they were replying to casino promotion by reporting to the lobby! Ted, an absolute Groundhog Day post. But four times as shocking, given the gun moll's haul. Robbery with a flick of her manicured finger. This just continues to illustrate my lack of luck, to the point where nearby gamblers are having a field day in my presence. I am absolutely gobsmacked by it all.Paco, sorry for your recent casino busts. Your earlier stated intent of staggered trips seems violated, as you now report three consecutive weeks. I knew it couldn't last. But yours is quite a swift reversal of fortune. Hey, the TCs are piling up. Even a low roller like me is up to 1,376 after 106 this weekend. No $150 loss either, the going rate for that mileage. Thanks for saving me a trip to RW Catskills. I was mildly intrigued. But it sounds like another cookie cutter VLT slot parlor robbing their victims blind.

Last week was a last minute decision to go because Harrah's emailed me 1000 free entries into the drawing they were having plus I could earn more as I played. Suckered right in I was.
This weekend I decided to give the new place a try. As they say, Curiosity Killed this Cat.
The games at Resorts World don't play like VLT's. I tried the old throw away a winning hand (small one) to see if it replaced it with an equal win on the draw. A VLT will or you will get a bonus to make it happen. No go.
While playing though I couldn't help but thinking of Daburglar's description of His play in AC. Absolutely incredible amount of Dud hands. If you were lucky to hit anything more than trips you would lose it all plus more right back in a series of duds. Probably just horrible luck but It just didn't feel right to me. No upswings whatsoever.
I should continue this topic in the discussion over in the casino talk section I suppose.

funny story at the other Monticello casino which is a vlt bust out joint!I was dealt quad nines and told the guy next to me I bet him 100 dollars if I threw the quads away I would get quads right back he was ready to accept the bet,i said keep your money and watch.of coarse quads right back.he was astonished!!

OMG, that dopey March 3 drawing. Mr. Dancer confirmed that low rollers should skip that crap. Even for you, 1000 entries are a drop in the Atlantic.
