Re: My Mrs. knocks one out of the park
Looks like this weekend will be a busy one for vp. Heading up tonite with the mrs. Back to spend the day with family sat then back up sat nite for a Christmas party. 250 gift card just for showing up. Back home late sat or early sun for family time then back up sun night fir an overnight. I should have time for some more trials. 5 or 6 good ones so far.

Agreed. At this time, Las Vegas is one of the last remaining hold outs for positive VP games.onemoretry wrote: ↑Fri Nov 30, 2018 8:05 amNSU deuces with 0.3% cash back is a positive game. I submit that the dozens and dozens of NSU deuces machines at South Point constitutes more than a hand full.
Members of this forum are nationwide if not worldwide. I can tell you from personal experience the vast majority of VP games in the US are negative and the comps are not enough to change that. The few good games left are quickly going away. If you believe the math and I do, this means the vast majority of VP players are losing. No manner of skill or methodology can turn negative odds positive. If you are going to pay to play, you must eventually make some choices. At the top of your list of choices is how much you are willing to pay.
I understand members don't come on this forum to be told they are going to lose. Unfortunately, in most of today's VP world, losing less is the best you can do. If we are going to help the majority of our members, we should be talking about limiting losses. We can ignore them and act like casinos all have positive games, or we can help the most players by openly discussing this issue.
If you read everything the experts say, you could easily assume positive VP games are common. Even if they don't, the only advice given is the standard "Don't play negative games". A new player takes this information or lack of information into a casino and quickly discovers their error. If we are going to help members to be better players, isn't reducing their cost to play helpful? Perhaps this has been discussed in detail and I missed it?

I have no desire to hijack this thread in order to turn it into a strategy discussion. This is the Recreational Forum and the place to discuss VP in that context. However, I do think it's important to point out that not all Recreational VP strategies are the most efficient monetarily. Sorry for the interruption.

The Mrs. did it again. I cant believe it. Dealt royals 2 weeks apart in just 4 trips. Three multiplier to boot on all three lines. 36,000 nickels. ON THE SAME MACHINE.

My mistake the royal was on a different machine but the dealt aces were on this machine. That pic is above and was good for 32,400 nickels. Puts my play on 99 percent games to shame.

Of all the things that have caused me problems over my years of VP play, worrying about odds is at the top of the list. We could spend weeks discussing why this is. It reminds me of the answer a famous professional fisherman gave when asked "What is the secret to catching more fish?". He said "Go early and stay late."

I have to agree with you phil. As much as it makes me crazy to play less than 99 percent machines, i have lost so much more money playing them. In fact after the party at mohegan last night, we played a couple of hours before heading home. I played the martingale clone way on a low denomination 96 percent spin poker machine. Started at 3 cent play then 5 then 10. The pic below speaks for itself. I didnt draw the ace but was thrilled.
