     Back a few hours ago from an overnight at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. I was ahead at Foxwoods, but gave it back so my Mohegan Sun play turned into a Marathon. Hitting the hay in a few minutes. One hour's sleep just won't cut it anymore. The usual routine I know many experience is hit something pretty good early, keep playing and give it back and more. The other scenario is lose early and often and play catch up only to run out of time and or money.
     This trip was a little different. Every game I tried worked. DDS Deuces and Bonus Deuces Wild, Joker Kings on Spin Poker, and tripple or five play on the dollar DDS machine on Deuces Wild. The short version is I hit early and often, had one bad run for abut a half hour, but it came back afire. This trip, I played mostly dollars and fifty cent machines. Bank roll was only 300, but a nice hit early on on the DDS single line machine brought my playable bank roll up to 1k. I hit 5 of a kind on Joker Kings, caught 4 wild royals all at once on the dollar DDS spin poker game, several five of a kinds on DDS as well. I only took a few pot shots and one came in for a nice 1400 hand pay. Ended up nearly up 3k for the trip and this time didn't give any of it back. Of course sessions like this are rare and if I have one or two a year like this it is a lot. I hope history doesn't repeat itself, but usually the following session or sessions are ice cold. I'm sure many can attest to that. I know FAA can.

Congratulations! You sure tamed the Mohegan (wolf). Thanks for the name check. Delighted to take my Straight Flush and run Sat to wipe out my afternoon loss. Must chase that RF while I'm there. Otherwise it doesn't justify the time expense. To match your 10X bankroll, must hit the RF!

Wish I could hit them. I gave up and play games like deuces wild or similar where I shoot for the next best thing. Also short coining on DDS only carries a penalty of 1/4 of 1 percent if you hit the dealt Royal. After 3 stints of well over 500k hands without Royals on draw poker in just the last 3 years, I'm done chasing them. On the other hand, I am hitting dealt quad deuces on DDS more often than I should. Over 1 in 53k or so as opposed to 1 in 40k or so for the Royal. Go figure. That is vp I guess. There is one thing about getting dealt quad deuces and I realize most don't have access to that game since they are older machines. After you double before seeing your last card, and hitting the quad deuces, you get paid the same as a Royal and you only have to start with bet 1 to do it. Bet a quarter, Double it after seeing the first 4 cards and a good hand and you get 200 bucks if the quad deuces arrive on the 5th card. You get 400 bucks if you are playing Bonus Deuces wild DDS and get the Ace with the quad deuces or twice you what you would get with the Royal. The dealt Royal is a garnish and rarely offered with your meal. It comes around only once in nearly 700k hands. I was lucky enough to hit that big one last year on a pot shot. I don't expect to hit one at all anytime soon even though I will probably exceed a million hands played this year for sure since I am playing more multi line now. Yes, for the moment I have tamed the wild pony, but they are smarter than the average bear Boo Boo and will get me back next time most likely. Not ready to lick my wounds just yet. Positive attitude for today anyway.

Unfortunately, I've experienced for years that good streaks follow up with a nasty one. That is the emotional roller coaster of being a recreational gambler!

As usual thanks for the well wishes all. Caught up on most of my sleep and just back from another overnight at Mohegan. I heard some of my charities ringing my ear and decided to give it a shot last night since I am spending Super Bowl Sunday with my dad. So lucky to still have him. The rare event was mostly repeated. I stuck with the dollar 5 play DDS machine of Deuces Wild and caught Wild Royals on multiple lines good for an 1800 hand pay which all went home. The local animal shelter is needy again as they always are and I am glad I can help them out a little again after this trip. I may run up again Sunday night very late and stay through Monday Morning, but I haven't decided yet. If I do go and have a way above average up day, that would break a lifetime record of 2. This is really weird, but when I am playing and not trying to win anything for myself I always do much better. If I concentrate on things like the above while playing, it almost always comes through.
