Agreement Accepted

Post by FloridaPhil »
What a wonderful offer.I hereby acknowledge that
many players play video poker as recreation and their goals are not
always profit. I'm not holding back at all. I completely agree. Now,
since I said that, you said you're good with whatever I say. I say you
should stick to the Recreational Forum. This will make the other forums
here so much better and I'm so happy you agreed in advance to do this. We're used to you not keeping your agreements here. Here's a chance to prove us wrong!Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I accept.  As far as I know, all the forums except the Strategy
Forum are open to everyone.  My understanding is the Stories Forum is a
place where any forum member can tell stories about VP, not teach or
instruct.  If you wish to use the Stories Forum as a teaching tool, fine
with me.  Just know that Recreational players may post here as well.
Any comments you make should consider this possibility.  You may want to
check with Webman to clarify this.I have no desire to participate in any
forum where no one is allowed to disagree.  I do not wish to bar anyone from the Recreational Forum.  I expect members to post without making outright or veiled
insults and I will do likewise.  Referring to other members as "ignorant", "stupid", "unintelligent" or references to banning or killing single coin players serves no useful purpose on any of our VP forums.  If Bill Ryan or any of your supporters continue to dog my
every post, this agreement will be dissolved. It's totally up to them.  What's fair for you is
fair for all.I am not now or have I ever been in the VP
instruction business.  I only talk about what happens when I play.  If I
make a comment on any of our forums, it's coming from the prospective
of a Recreational Player.   Members should realize this. They should
also know I do not concern myself with long term profit.  My only
concern is what happens in the casino on a daily basis.  I budget what I
want to spend for the day and try to come home with as much money as
possible.I see no reason for conflict between members of this
website.  VP professionals, semi professionals, enthusiasts and
recreational players all do what they do and everyone enjoys the
experience.  Let's all try to get along and have some empathy for the
feelings of others.

I have a question for Bob Dancer:Let me preface by saying I do not agree with phil about how he plays or why, or what he does.....I myself would never play the way he does.As you may know I am an experienced non professional player;  my background is heavy in math and economics and you know where I was educated.   Apart from my frequent rants on the (Undeniably) decrepit state of affairs in Atlantic City and the fact that SOMETHING really seems weird and off with video poker in the remaining AC casinos when compared to other markets like Vegas, I actually agree with most of what YOU (B. Dancer) post regarding how to play the actual games of VP and such.....That said, I fail to see why Phil is subjected to what you've instigated here in terms of dictatiing what or where or how he can post. What the hell is your problem?   is your so called "Business" actually that TENUOUS, that sensitive to what some amateur posts on a forum that it is in jeopardy of losing significant income, or customers or whatever?    I'm seriously asking, because unless you can provide a logical, straightforward answer (which I will GLADLY accept if it is indeed logical and straightforward and not just self serving bullying and arrogance) then I actually see this entire episode STILL DOING you great harm by showing you to truly be an overbearing, joyless obnoxious individual who apparently does nothing except play VIDEO POKER and get others to pay for it.I called you on this a long time ago....you let slip ONE TIME in a post that you admitted, you had certain "inside secrets" and arrangements with casinos that YOU DO NOT share, that are NOT part of any course you teach....well sir, that is about as general a disclaimer, as well as an "invalidator" (I made that word up just for this instance) to whatever you are peddling.   That could encompass and involve just about anything in the world, not the least of which is casinos actually just PAYING YOU to get amateur people to play in their parlors......it could be a whole panoply of other things too,How on earth can you find someone like floridaphil such a "THREAT" to you and what you claim to do?    I just don't get the genesis of such insecurity

Damn. What in the world ever gave you pause to think Dancer is worried about phil costing him business?
In a month of fairly BIZARRE posts by you, this has got to be the topper.

Thinking that I am any kind of threat to Bob Dancer's business is ridiculous.  I have spent a lot of time researching Bob Dancer on the Internet.  There are literally hundreds of articles he has written or someone else has written about his life.  He has believed in his strategy for a long time.  It hasn't been easy either.  He knows all about broken marriages and gambling addictions.   He also has had the will to continue and he has been able to do what others have not.  I am not against anyone playing VP by the math, the stars or the freckles on their dog's nose.  My understanding is this forum is here so all members can discuss VP without restrictions.  It is not here so anyone can use it exclusively.  On the other hand, repeating the same arguments over and over again is boring and doesn't benefit anyone.   I realize this and believe Bob's Strategy Forum should continue without input from me.  I also believe Bob's supporters should honor the Recreational Forum.  If you want peace around here, there has to be some barriers or every discussion will end the same way.  The current arrangement is fine with me as long as we both are allowed to answer direct questions or respond to personal comments.  Let's leave well enough alone.

BillR - In defense of DaBurglar (HUH?, WHAT?) I believe Bob made a post in the forum touching on that a while back. But my memory may be fading.

The above does not allude to my agreeing or disagreeing with anything DaBurglar wrote in the above post.
