Re: 2018 9/6 job trial
Breaking even at -$35 is a massive undertaking. You often lose another $25 there or at a neighbor. You're still in the hole after a late quad. Still, the catch is to stay on the damn bank even if I switch machines.

Here is an unexpected result that I am more than happy with. The other night I managed to hit a few quads at bet 3 and bet 2 negating the minimal loss I suffered on the first day of this trial. I was back to betting one and not paying that much attention to what was going on, just being careful to hold the correct cards. I was a little better than even at this point due to a small flurry of full houses close together. Then up pops a quad. A few hands after that quad, up pops another quad. Throwing caution to the wind, I said what the heck.....the second quad that appeared really wasn't something I expected right after the first one. Like Fla Phil, I am known for pot shots. I haven't been taking them for a while due to dismal results so far for 2018. Anyway, I decided to take the quad money and play just 2 hands. One at bet 12 bucks and the other at bet 13 bucks. The bet 12 hand was a dud, but and I couldn't believe it myself the bet 13 buck hand dealt me 2 high cards to the Royal. Hoping for at least a high pair, I held the 2 cards and drew the other 3 to a HUGE ROYAL. TEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED BUCKS. Holy s...! I still have my old dumb phone and am inept at posting pics but I did send the pic to Fla Phil. I didn't ask him to post it. I still have it on my dumb phone though. The good news is I literally ran out of the casino and next day put most of it into the rapidly dwindling vp play money account. Now the trick is to just get back to basics and make it last while having fun. So far so good with the very mild Martingale trial. I know it will get me eventually though. I really don't have a quit point. I usually just play until it is time to sleep or go home. Thanks for all of the above math analysis.

Congratulations. I will attempt one or two $10 pot shots this trip as an homage.

Yes FAA....those yeah I'm ahead gas money sessions are quite common. They make us feel over confident and entice us into betting more or try a tougher game. Definitely the casino's friend. Now it only we could take that plus 30 bucks, grab a loaded Philly Steak Sub, your favorite craft beer or drink as the case may be and head home. .....Well, my chances of doing that are about the same as hitting a Royal on the first hand.

Congrats, olds. I'm so happy for you. 5-digit paydays are terrific! Sorry, I didn't read between the lines of the system you described and factor in the random pot shots in my analysis for you. You clearly don't need any advice. Just keep hitting those well-timed royals and you'll get the "gales" to work for you to blow away those pesky "martins."

I am +$100 without the $10 bet. Remains to be seen how much risk tolerance I can endure.

Alas, I chickened out and left a modest winner on the Olds scale. 1%, or +$108.
