Slow Deal

Post by jm002546 »

I have noticed that most machines sometimes hesitate for a second or twobefore the deal.  When that occurs it seems like the hands are below average.  At any rate, what is the RNG plotting in those instances?

If you just notice that once every hundred or so hands, it's likely the machine writing data to the EEPROM so that bookkeeping information and the like is stored in the event of a power failure.  If you notice it every single hand, you're on a slow machine.  :)

i agree that if the machine slows for a few seconds it does seem that a very good hand will come next.  Of course that does not happen every time and I play max so it does not matter when it slows for me.

I noticed this too when I was in Vegas. Being my first time on a real machine, I have to confess to various suspicions running through my mind when I noticed this.  There was also a whirring type thing in some of the machines and I figured it was taking my money out a secret trap door below the machine when that happened.

I was taught that that was a sure sign of a machine in a cold cycle. The kiss of death for your cash. When you see that I suggest moving to another machine.
Hold on maybe he said that was a machine going into a hot cycle.
Oh well I know it was one of them.

oej719 Your problem is obvious and all of us experience that when we sit too long playing VP either in a casino or here! HOHOHO! Time for a break. I'm not going to listen to you anymore! I don't have time for this! I know what should be written on my tombstone!

What is going to be on that tombstone marie?

On mine - "A A ? A A"    Or, "I'll play just one more $20".

Nothing exotic. Something mundane like: Alas, Marie played too long at her lucky VP machine, greedy for another royal. (I seriously doubt this concept could apply to anyone else reading this!) How will your tombstone read, anyone? I am still cracking up over Eduardo's secret trap door theory and oej719's cold and hot machine waffle. I sincerely hope I get kicked off this site soon.
