A very important recreational conversation!

The lighter side... playing for entertainment, less concerned about "the math."

And you do have to give Joe props for hanging in there as long as he did!

Desperate for entertainment, I see. At this point, I would pursue all experiments to lose less. If I must apply Q in marker on my wrists, it's a done deal. Quarters or quit.

It would be terrible if there was a day without such a post and you would therefore forget and bet too big.

If Phil had a dollar for every time FAA swore off dollar play he'd never have to play single coin again for the rest of his life.

Like many addicted people in society, I backslide. If this is such amusement for you, that says more about you than it does about me.

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

There's been enough stone throwing on this site to build a castle. Hey, I'm on your side. You show incredible restraint. If I could only limit myself to the four pot shots per hour you espouse, I'd be elated.

FAA my pot shot count doesn't come close to four an hour. If I struck a nerve, so what. I'm not the one who posts the same story in multiple forums telling of woe after you succumb to dollar denomination. How many times have you sworn off dollar play just to resort to it to try and make up for losses you've suffered at the quarter level? One of the basic rules of gambling is to not chase losses and, if you do, be ready to suffer your fate.

If you cannot hold up to a little jabbing may I suggest thickening your largest organ. I would suggest an alternate such as staying away from dollar play but: been there, done that.

Edited to add: If you TRULY do have a gambling addiction then you should seek some help for it. I mean that with all sincerity.

How about if we all chill out?  This stuff is not that important.  IT'S JUST A GAME!!   I don't know about anyone else, but I come to this website to have a good time and talk to others about the game I like to play.  It seems some have a different agenda.  Let's stop castigating each others posts.   If you think video poker is that serious, you shouldn't waste your time on the Recreation Forum.   Hang out with the other APs on the Strategy Forum.  They could use some company.
