No... The pay table has nothing to do with it being Class 2 or 3.FloridaPhil wrote: ↑Wed Jan 30, 2019 8:12 amShe said she is playing 9/6 Jacks, so I assume they are Class III.Waiting4RF wrote: ↑Wed Jan 30, 2019 5:47 amWhat is your local casino? Are their VP machines Class III ?
Class 2 machines are "bingo" machines where the outcome is already determined. Usually they accomplish this by having a "genie" feature or something similar that will change your cards if you hold wrong. There should be a sticker or something indicating as much. But the pay table could still be 9/6. That simply means it will return 9 for a full house and 6 for a flush.
Machines in Vegas, Atlantic City etc are all class 3 by law, where results must be random as expected from a standard deck of cards.
If you aren't sure, you can look up which rules your state follows (or post the casino name here and we will gladly help).
It should be pretty obvious though if you are on a class 2 machine once the special "feature" appears. It's an important question, because if you happen to be in a place with class 2, most advice will be void.
