Phil, can you please clarify what sort of mathematical statements in the recreational forum you have been so offended by in the past?
What offends me is when someone uses math to prove the casino is beatable then justifies gambling bigger because they can't lose. This leads some players to think the machine owes them a jackpot. That is most assuredly not the case.

In this case, I used it so Sarah would know what she could expect. She will not be able to break even every time she goes to the casino. There are five things that can happen when she goes to the casino. Win a little. Lose a little. Win a lot. Lose a lot. Break even. All of them will eventually happen.

How about this.
Let's poll the ten most frequent posters. Each can pick one thing that offends them. Let's all agree not to post about the three top subjects the forum agrees are offensive. We certainly don't want anyone offended,do we?

Today’s result. Played for 2 hour and a half. Break even is when I decided to walk out. Then I put in another $10 just for the heck of it. Then I lost it. So today i paid $10 for 2.5 hours’ fun.
My math says playing 9/6 Jacks five quarters at a time at 500 hands an hour is a negative $2.79 an hour game without comps. If you stick with that game at that denomination, you can play VP on the cheap. It's hard to stand in one place for $2.79 an our.

Have you checked with your Player's Club to find out how their comp program works? If you play enough, you should earn free play, free stuff, maybe even a free room during the week. That "Free Stuff" is part of your winnings.
Yes I do earn free cash. I think so far I’ve cashed out about $25.

When an expert makes a statement that a positive VP game is worth "X" amount per hour, to some people that means there is a guarantee of some kind. Is there a chance you can do everything right and still lose long term? That depends upon how many hands you play long term. How many hands is enough? No one knows, that's why video poker is gambling.

I guess that means you want to be the only one who can post? That's been tried before.

Free play is profit also. Like you, I play quarter VP exclusively. I play one full day each week. My free play averages about $25-$40 a week. In a year's time, that's more than one royal.
