Re: NYPD
as a society, we have deemed it prudent/necessary to give special authority to those who provide law and order. if they abuse that authority, we have also provided measures to hold them accountable.
what happens when the next cop, in that neighborhood, tries to enforce the law. as a result of these acts of recorded assault , the cops will have lost respect and will need even a greater show of force to do their basic duties. what if instead of water, they throw bleach or worse. so, instead of needing just one or two cops for a simple arrest, you will get your way, they will come in with massive force. then, the liberals will complain about that.
progressive policing and policies are doomed to fail and put those who obey the law in harm's way.
progressive law and order, coming to your town next. vote more dems!

With 3 nephews on the force in Portland, Or., it's not in their nature to stand down, but to do otherwise will cost them everything they have worked for. The mayor has thrown his support behind Antifa time and time again, to the detriment of the police and civilians alike.

CK, gotta ask, i am kind of surprised that officers in portland are not quitting, in protest of mayor's policies. understand, the cops give up their job, but there are jobs elsewhere. i would have thought 'standing down' would go against their natural instinct and pride. what do you hear?

By the way, as of this afternoon, there were at least 3 instances of dousing the police trying to do their jobs in NYC. I have. solution for those responsible for these acts. It is called waterboarding.

any intelligent person would have expected these actions to continue. of course, that does not include those who preach progressive policies. if it is not stopped asap, these a$$holes will continue assaults on the police, and greater use of force will be necessary to stop it. then, the liberals will blame the cops again.
my guess as to the solution that will be offered by the progressive, BR, de blasio folks, two parts;
-first, BAN ALL BUCKETS
-second- sue all bucket makers
their reasoning will be that if buckets did not exist, no one could throw water, gasoline, acid or whatever at anyone.
community service, as described by websters, is 'work done without pay'. police work is about helping keep law and order, for those of us who do not want to live in a society that has no rules or consequences for those who break those rules. dems only want to obey rules they agree with.

They're praying for a new mayor, and hoping to right the ship if/when that happens. As for picking up and moving elsewhere, they all have large extended families in the area. As for the rest, I'm as mystified as you as to why they haven't quit in force, unless they believe it's no better down the road. Kinda looks that way IMHO.notes1 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2019 1:16 pmCK, gotta ask, i am kind of surprised that officers in portland are not quitting, in protest of mayor's policies. understand, the cops give up their job, but there are jobs elsewhere. i would have thought 'standing down' would go against their natural instinct and pride. what do you hear?

Read about what the mayor of Chicago said about a police official, her comment was caught on a hot mike. When asked to apologize she said and I quote “ she was sorry it was heard “, not that she said it but that she got caught. That wonderful bastion of liberalism, the city of Chicago. Sad.

Cops get water thrown on them in NYC and it's the result of liberal policies run amuck.
So when cops are killed in Republican Dallas and Texas, whose responsibility is it?
Why is it when bad things happen in liberal cities, it's the result of liberal policies, but when they happen in conservative cities, it happens in spite of them. Cop gets killed when Obama was President, it's his fault. Cop gets killed when Trump is prez, it's still Obama fault.
Must be nice to be able to go thru life always blaming others when things go wrong.
