Just when my chip companies are getting some traction, US is floating Chinese export restrictions. Well, I cannot catch a break.

I’m looking to dump Tel soon. I’m just a bit over even on it. If it paid a dividend over 4 percent I would keep it.

Understandable. I do not expect my firm to dump it anytime soon. Hey, breaking even is a win! Definition of running in place. P/E >20, so it may well get beaten back down.

TEL seems have peaked at $143 and it’s tread water for a week. Now is as good a time as any to get out.

I was thinking the same thing. Today I dumped a few tiny holdings cluttering up my portfolio. I dumped Travelers yesterday for a small gain and a possible mistake today dumped qqqx which I had a small position in. I am trying to preserve gains. I think we are due for a pullback. But don’t pay any attention to me. My crystal ball still does not answer. Tel will be going any day now. I am not happy with the 1.65 percent dividend at all.
I can’t remember if I mentioned I bought SEVN. Curious what others think. I got it mainly for the 11 percent plus dividend. P/E 6.15. Sometimes too low is no good either. I’m going to look up and see what the industry standard is for reits

I blew out TEL today A little better than even. I’m looking for greener pastures and a dividend play over 5 percent. Trading is so much easier and cheaper than the old days. No fees and no commissions with Fidelity. No adviser fees either who often never even beat the market or ETFs.

$144 was a nice exit. I was looking for greener pastures when I told advisor to sell my HD 15 months ago. It’s up 8.4% since, mostly off last month. Same with four others. I’m impatient and prone to panic.

The reason I sold TEL was their div is only 1.67 percent. I read many analysts reports including Barrons. Upside 150 but downside 115. I will take the nearly 5 percent for now in the money markets d I have been nipping at different reits with the yields 8-15 percent.

I like to occasionally read Barron's. That's a lot of damn downside exposure.

I also blew out JCI and NVT this week. I am tired of these type of holdings paying 1/4 of what inflation is in dividends. CDs will be approaching 6 percent soon. They are 5.5 already through Fidelity. Except for one Boat anchor, DIS, I am where I want to be now. Income oriented holdings. Some non taxable FED. DIS is valued at 145. Currently 86. I hate what the have done to the company. I may just blow it out too. It would pay for all my gains in 2023 by offsetting the profits. Then if I think they are turning things around, buy it back after the wash sale period. They canned their puny dividend a few years ago, have a high p/e , and have alienated a huge segment by some of the things they have done. Boys and girls and prince and princess comes to mind. I won’t elaborate further.
