Congratulations. That’s my next stop. I prefer B Bar, but it’s either always full or you get stuck on the one machine since it’s the only free option.

I usually regret playing below max coin. If I was an NFL QB, I’d often resort to dump offs and check downs. Maybe I can draw inspiration from a Heisman Trophy winner who played 21 years in the NFL.

Last Resort killed me again this week. I did reserve a “comp” room there next week. $38 with all the fees. They sent an email asking if I’d like a partial ($25) or full ($40) ocean view. I guess I can spring for it knowing that the casino will not bury me, as I have discarded their card and never play without one.

What a pleasure to bypass the casino this trip. I just enjoyed a spacious 56th floor room for $38 in steep fees and taxes. Breathtaking views abound. However, I found half a peanut by the bed, surely a metaphor for how tight the machines are. I also found a sliver of a 100 Grand bar. Housekeeping is always a bit off unless it’s a suite, which should be immaculate given the premium rates. Caesars was a much better VP choice, though the walking left me with sore legs. Great half price fish tacos at Dougherty’s. Cod, they were good.

I decided to take them up on another comp room in a few weeks. Too good a deal to pass up. Email confirmation states that my check in time is 5 PM. This is outrageous. I thought 4 PM was bad last month. Anyone else getting these crazy times?

No. I can check in at 6 AM and if there’s no room ready, they will call me first available. I can also check in on my phone without even being there.
