Re: Bizarro World 2023
Love seesaws. We had a huge high one in the park as a kid. I just report the news. Good or bad. Also unusual observances and occurrences at the casino. Everyone can draw their own conclusions. One thing I am sure there is something to. Only based on zillions of hands and what others have experienced. The newer machines behave differently than the old ones. Longer dud cycles and compressed winning cycles. The total return may be the same, but to get to where you want to be is much more difficult.

When losing, it’s like a hitter with two strikes. Time to shorten the swing, or reduce the bets. Lesser results, but more likely to make contact. I found myself down last night and wanted to at least fully replenish my withdrawal. So medium premium. Quads came within five minutes of each other, after two hours of suffering.

Don't play with scared money.

That’s one of the Golden Rules. Another one is if you cannot afford to lose it all, don’t play at all.

To me- in matters of gambling- there really aren't any rules (except don't cheat) from a player perspective: you wanna bet the rent that's entirely up to you. You play within the rules of the house (ostensibly known, understood and accepted) and live with the results. If there's a golden rule for me it's know what happened to your money and for VP- max credits for RF or do not deal.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 2:08 pmThat’s one of the Golden Rules. With regards to the statement above, define "all".

Half of my play is scared money, still endeavoring to cut the inefficiency out of VP without cutting off my nose to spite my face. I can tolerate a pro rata return on quads. I now realize that BP requires a different calculus, as quad Aces and 2S,3S,4S do incentivize max coin, a modification that I should implement. It is too risky getting burned on those additional premium hands. I will still do a lot of JOB variation.

It's both fun and stressful, trying to thread the needle with a maximum outcome with a minimal outlay. This of course often backfires and incites forum derision. Whatever; such is the internet. Everyone else here seems to prefer the more intricate games, which heavily incentivize full coin. I'd quickly realize the folly of my approach on those bandits. Too many potential windfalls would be sabotaged.

As to the word all, I guess I mean whatever cash you bring with you and whatever you might hit the ATM for.
