deuce royal

Playing Ultimate Ten Play - Deuce Wild Bonus: Dealt four to a royal with one deuce. There were no multipliers. Would you take the winner or dump the deuce?

So are you saying that you were dealt a wild royal and would dump the wild to go for the natural royal be the smarter play?

I''m pretty sure that is what they mean. And, that being the case, keeping the wild royal is the mathematical superior play.

I'd be interested to know what the difference in EV is though, given you have three deuces available to restore the wild royal and when considering the next hand multipliers (what is the multiplier for the wild royal?).

TT - the wild royal next hand multiplier is 2x, while the flush next hand multiplier is 4x. The natural royal next hand multiplier is also 4x.

For the base game, the expected return for holding the wild royal is 25, while for discarding the deuce and "going for it" it's around 19.3. I don't know how to factor in the next hand multipliers.

Using Pro Training on this site, the EV is highest holding all 5 cards. Detailed chart follows.
