The Usual. Will touch base again next week if I’m up there. Like us pays little to no attention to analysts. I’ll check on Nat Resources etc. He did tell me to load up on Berkshire when it was 460 and IBM for a quick hit trade when it was 235. Sold IBM way too soon. Kept Berkshire. Now back over 500.

I think Berkshire is a little off the beaten path. It's not presently attractive to the momentum chasers.

The US stock market has paid back 120% for three years running, so probably a lot of investors now think they're wizards. Some of them are.

Some of them aren't.

In the news, PAAS plunged about 5% on its earnings release. I didn't see anything wrong with the numbers. You know how that goes.

It's now down inside of 2% for the extended session.

I don't know if there's any reliable data on that. Earnings news usually happens outside of normal hours, so the stock action doesn't show up on the regular charts.

PAAS initially traded down below 37, then this morning nearly touched 41. All on the same news. The conference call has only just started.

I've noticed that when a deal is announced, the acquiring company usually trades down. That's probably because deals are usually priced at a premium, but otherwise the deals wouldn't get done.

Stocks often are splattered on news of a dividend cut. PTALF PetroTal this morning is minus 35% which I find ridiculous. I'm trying to add now below 0.32.

But as I noted earlier, HUN registered a big gain despite a divvy cut. Gotta analyze individually.

Most of my chemicals are green.

Bitcoin sliced through 100k (from the wrong direction).

Gold miners are falling hard.

My best fills today included CDE 13.78, NGD 6.62, PAAS 33.11, and WDOFF 14.14.

Today's session highs: CDE 16.02, NGD 7.75, PAAS 39.17, WDOFF 15.93.

I seem to be getting good fills this morning on my GDX re-re-re-reloads. Transacting inside of the bid-ask spread, which doesn't always happen pre-market.
