2 more deuces wild questions
as a rookie i'm glad i have this board to help me out. i'm getting more confused with deuces wild. JOB was pretty straight foward
on FPDW when dealt 4 deuces paymar says to hold all 5 cards. if i'm reading correct the deuces will make up the best hand possible. so if the fifth card is a low card shouldn't you go for a high card thus making it a wild royal. since the drawn card will still give you 5 of a kind. i know he says to keep the 5 to avoid machine error.
#2 again paymar says to hold a 3 card royal with no ace when dealt 1 deuce. online in a practice game(FPDW) i was dealt a K and A clubs, 3d and 7h with a deuce. since the royal contained an ace i did as paymar said and drew 4 not holding the Kc and Ac. online tutorial said i should of kept the royal
thanks for your help everyone. i need it. don't want to give the casino any more $$ then i want to

For your first question... It won't matter if you draw the wild royal when holding 4 deuces... it won't help your payout. It will still pay for the deuces since a wild royal is only 125.

Wild royal pays less than 4 deuces, much less.

The bad thing about the simple strategy is that it will lead to a "LOT" of incorrect holds, because the trainer uses perfect strategy. But the EV loss is very small. It would be great if Bob Dancer had a training version based on simple strategy. You hold A 3RF when no penalty cards, but the hold drops below 3SF 6-7conseq singleton. If your 3d had been 6h you should have held 267.

The most important things to remember in Deuces are:
1) 2's are Wild cards
2) No payout for Jacks or Better
3) All of the correct holds for every combination of cards
It's number 3 that trips me up on occasion.

Video Poker for Winners allows you to set the game to correct against , "Perfect Play" or " Strategy." It also allows the level of difficulty for the dealt hands from "mixed", to "beginner" to "intermediate" to "advanced".

If you don't own a tutor it is a good investment. Vipoker is a good starting point but does not all the capabilities of VPfW or WVP. However, it does have the capability that can help with questions like these. The ability to analyze a single hand and provide a list of all possible winning combinations. With this feature you can see exactly what changes with any given hand.
