This forum seems slooooow!

Have been noticing when I'm on this forum both my PC and laptop slow down when I am visiting the forum.  Like when I ask for "next page" or request "reply" to  post.Sometimes I want to add to the topic, but the wait time can be long enough to cause me to give it up.FYI, this is not happening when I visit other sites.  Any ideas?

I'm on a slow connection but haven't noticed any slowdowns in the forums lately.  In fact the last few weeks it's seemed faster than at some times in the past.

Norton has popped up in the middle of the contest and destroyed all my contest efforts, more than once. I wonder why.

I've got McAfee AV and it hasn't had any problems with the contest.
 
But I have noticed something different while the contest is loading.  If I minimize IE during the loading, then usually (not always) the IE tab in my taskbar will start blinking as if it's waiting for some input from me.  Haven't seen that before, in any contest.
