I've played Wheel poker at Railroad Pass, Golden Nugget (Laughlin), Red Rock, Green Valley Ranch, Palms and Gold Coast.  I can assure anyone who still isn't too familiar with this game that the money can go REAL fast.  I dropped $800 at the Golden Nugget in about 15 minutes and didn't hit any 4 of a kinds.Poor payouts for full houses and flushes combined with the bonus bet eats up a hundred bucks real quick.  It can be fun though too.  I got a good handpay at Red Rock and my friend has been DEALT a 4 of a kind twice on these machines.  Lucky him!

A year ago, last Oct, I played these for the first time at Wynn and fell in love. Found them at GVR and immediately got 4oak and got to spin and it landed on the 2000 extra coins. Moved to the next machine and it dealt me 4 aces with the kicker so I got to spin 3 times for a total of $1800. Moved to the end machine and it dealt me the royal for $3000. $5300 and 2 W2-g's all within 15 minutes of getting to GVR!! Now you see why I fell in love so quickly!! :o)

On my next trip back to Vegas in January, I found out that Wynn/Encore no longer have them.

Closer to home, I found them at Harrah's Joliet and Horseshoe Hammond. I've had good hits but I agree when the machines turn cold they eat your money VERY fast!

We have another trip to Vegas coming up in October so I'm trying to find out which casinos have the Wheel Poker machines. We are staying at the M Resort this time.

Hi Queen:

The Orleans has 6 wheel poker machines located directly outside of the Canal Street restaurant.
I played them when I was there a few months back and also hit the 2,000 extra coin spin bonus. However, I do agree with you about the money going south really fast.

Not sure if they will be in the same location when you get there as casinos are always moving machines around but they have been in the same locale on my last few visits.

Vido/RedHot:  Hubby and I are just back from the Orleans this past weekend, and yes, the Wheel poker machines are still outside the Canal Street restaurant.  I also played them at the Suncoast, where they start at nickel and go up from there.  You will also find them at Gold Coast, as played them there as well.   Wish you luck when you go in October! ( I saw them at Main Street Station in August, but couldn't find them this visit)

GUMSHOE:

All of the places you mentioned (orleans, suncoast, goldcoast AND main street are all boyd places so I guess they are spreading the machines out). And apparently, they are still in the same place at the orleans.

I LOVE the suncoast! you have good taste! Although the VP machines don't have the best pay tables, i always have had GREAT luck there in the past!

Wife and I played Wheel at Red Rock in July. We had been waiting to try it. First $100 went fast with just one quad and 250 extra on spin. I came back later to the second of three machines. Over the next hour hit 8 different quads changing games after a hit and cashed out over $2k playing quarters and no wheel hit less than 500 extra.    The next two times I tried went through $100 quickly and I left to return to the 100% return machines.

We also played Quick Quads and the WMS Big Event video poker at Red Rock. Forgot to locate Ultimate X. Quick Quads was a break even proposition.

In our view the WMS Big Event is not worth the time or money unless multiple players are playing. The graphics are horrible and we had three big events in two sessions that were worthless. The game format is also really different and could be confusing to new players. You can tell it is not an IGT machine!
