Kind of Frustrated!!??
Decided to give Palm Springs a break and visited the Temecula Valley last Sunday. Mostly a 1$ Double Double Bonus player, I visited Pal, Har, VV all along the same stretch of Highway. Most had 9/5 Double Double Bonus...not the greatest, but its the only game in town. Looking forward to scouting out some of the newer Video Poker games, I went with high hopes. I saw one machine each Triple Quick Quads at 2 properties but only .25...no .50 or $1. I also saw one Super Triple Play at one property and again only .25. Even Ultimate X never exceeded .25. at 2 properties and even they were hard to find. No Dream Card anywhere. The only game where I won a little was at one property I found 2 Wheel Poker games and hit several quads. Only to be told by my other half..lets go its too crowded here...ughhh! Don't you just hate that?? Anyway, I'm sure the casinos are more interested in slot players and not Video Poker players. Just wish the selection was a little better. Well, I guess I'll save my pennies and plan a trip to Vegas. Southern California Casinos...anybody listening?

San Manuel's $1 vp machines offer 9/5 as well. I know they have 3, 5 and 10 play but you won't find any of the exotic games. They have the basics and that's about it. They did bring in some All Star Poker machines at the beginning of the year but that's the most exotic thing you will find there. No wheel poker or ultimate X.
I agree with you. The majority of people at the So Cal indian casinos either play blackjack or slots. A nicer and better paying VP selection would be great, but the chances of that happening seem slim to none.

I know what you meen its tough to find any decent paytables anymore regardless of the game you play. I don't play as much as I used to but the last time I was in Tunica I found a few 9/6/4 DDB games but most of it was 9/5 with some 8/5 mixed in. I don't play in Arkansas anymore but I heard they dropped all their paytables down.

As long as players will support a casino with pathetic paytables, why should the casino care? If the supermarket doubles the price of milk and yet customers continue to buy milk, do you really think the price is going to come back down?
When I last visited the Mississippi Coast (this past summer), I found a casino with the single worst non-Indian video poker paytables I have ever seen in my entire life. Wow, that's a statement. Yet....the place was packed! It was full of people who obviously did not give a happy flip about the paytables.
So what can I say? If I owned a casino and my customers were dumb enough to simply hand me their money, I would raise my paytables also. Until enough people vote with their feet, casinos will never get the message.
The columnists should constantly list the 10 worst paytable casinos in LV, and maybe elsewhere, also. Keep reminding people.
Folks, it's your money....would you support a grocery store that doubled the price of milk??

i am letting my harrahs diamond card go and stiffing them as even laughlin downgraded 50 play 9/6 job 5c to 8/5 this makes it unplayble to run off poaints to get comps and harrahs also go rid of bonus points. so i feel if this trend keeps going vp will be unplayable so this site may be the only vp many of us will play and even this site in which is not for money got downgraded

We need to band together and start an online petition and tell casinos everywhere that they need to add more VP and quit messing with the pay tables or they are going to lose business!

I live in NW Indiana. The best quarter db game to be found is 9/6. If that isnt bad enough, lately you can forget about popping a bonus quad. I used to hit bonus quads frequently. I have been playing for atleast 3 years correctly after purchasing Jean Scott software(I know people may prefer a different brand) but my point is ..............................NO RF's. I just booked a Vegas trip last night to get away from this nonsense, atleast for a week.
