Monday Action
A friend came in to town this past Monday and I took him to a couple local casinos. Our first stop was to Hollywood in Aurora, IL. I sat down at a .25 3/5 play and resisted the urge to play deuces by starting out with tdb. About 5 minutes into the session I was dealt trip 4's and the draw produced the 4th 4 along with a 3 for a nice $500.00 hit. I debated exiting the casino and going out to my car and getting a quick nap while my friend was still inside but I didn't. I played for about another 2 hours managing to lose only $50.00 of the previous money I had won.
We left and then stopped at Empress in Joliet, IL. After enjoying some very delicious lamb chops in their VIP room I found my luck not to be so good as I managed to lose about 4 hundred playing 3 different 3/5 play machines switching between ddb and tdb.
Our final stop for the night after a quick 10 minute drive was to Harrahs, also in Joliet. We ahd secured 2 rooms in their hotel so after checking in we were off to try our luck. I started out by trying a 3/5 play ddb game and had not luck, I switched to deuces still with no luck. I then played my favorite video slot to try and turn things around and I did manage to win about $80.00 back before giving video poker another try. I went to a .25 denom 3/5 Super Times Pay that was calling out my name (yes cd I actually heard it) and I sat down. I was playing 3 hand ddb for about 3 minutes when I was dealt a pair of 5's with a 5X multiplier popped up. On the draw I got the other 2 5's for a nice 1,250 coin payoff. I continued playing and about 30 minutes later I was dealt a pair of 4's along with another 5X multiplier. On the subsequent draw up popped the other 2 4's for a nice 2,000 coin hit. Satisfied at this point I decided to take a walk around the casino and I sat down at a Let It Ride table. I decided to make a $100.00 buy in and play it down or hit a couple hands and then would call it a night. I won my first 3 of 4 hands for a quick $135.00 profit and decided to go to bed up $600.00 from where I started earlier in the day.
Not a terribly exciting trip report, I know, but just shows what a series of small hits can add up to. Good luck gang, Ted.

Congratulations on the nice winning day! I'm glad you took my advice and listened carefully for the right machine as you walked up to the bank.
I played today and finished up $20 after a couple of hours so your $600 looks pretty good to me.

Farmer, the machines must be male. If they were female they would always be right when they speak to us.

My thoughts exactly Boops. To steal a phrase from Ed Norton; "It's always nice to have a little more kern in your pocket than when you started out." Farmer - the machine was speakling the language of love to me the other day.
