I sincerely appreciate the feed back to the original question(s). However, I am left wondering why only one person gave a definitive answer. Is it that so few want to admit what they really do (lol)??

In my case I almost always stick with one machine whether the play has been good, bad, or ugly.  If the play is especially ugly then I'll get up and go home, figuring that it just wasn't my day.

I like the machine smack dab in the middle of a 5 bank row. They are know to be less cold than most.

Shhh, oej!  Don't be giving away secrets in public posts about how to beat casinos.  That ruins things for everybody.  The casinos will just change things around - they'll start out by moving the middle machines in all banks to the end.

Which machine do you play in a 6 bank row?

Brilliant!

And, CD, the obvious answer is to play both middle machines.

What stinks is when you leave a cold machine and then someone comes in right after you and hits something good. Or if you cash out on a hot machine and the next person comes in and shows it was still hot by winning even more. Oh, what to do...

Shhh!  Shhh!  You guys are just ruining it for everyone! (wailing)  I realize that we try to help people with tips, but there's a difference between doing that and giving away all the Crown Jewels!

Okay, Mr. Smartypants, what do you do if they simply remove all middle machines from every bank in every casino everywhere?  They can do that overnight, you know.

The trick is to stay with odd number bank machines and pick the middle. Five is my favorite. I play until I reach 27% of my soft profit goal. I then stand and walk away (5 foot min) count to 73 backwards and return to the middle machine to complete my play until I hit 54% of my soft profit goal.
From there on is a secret given to me by my friends, the 3 chinese twins I meet in my world travels.

Well that tears it!  If you spill the beans on the ancient Chinese method of beating a VP machine - passed down from generation to generation for thousands of years - then I can kiss off any hopes I had of duplicating last year's winnings of $192,003.75.  I squeaked by our favorite writer last year in winnings - the odd amount I show is because I play mainly quarters.

I don't need the money, and I never ask for money for information I give in PMs, but I'll be ruined if it gets out!

I play the new 24 cent denominations on the middle machine and you still beat me by $12.89. Might need to rethink my play I guess. Congrats to you CD.
